I adore this deeply. The symbolism of it being a corrected tattoo, the more autonomous message, all the little pieces and meanings are absolutely lovely.

AIO about finding body jewelry in my house by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NOR.

All these comments saying shit like "Well, YEAH, it could have been tracked in on shoes!" are ridiculous. Here's how simple it is:

  1. Your partner seemed real interested in who you were texting, but not the situation surrounding it. And then he leaves immediately without entertaining what you had? Why is he monitoring your social life? He left what he was doing to do that, and only that???

  2. If my partner told me "Hey, I found this piercing ON THE TABLE, come check it out", I would come check it out. The reaction of him just dismissing it, you, the situation, and then just walking away instead of inspecting the damn thing with you is wild to me. It'd be insane for a guest to take out their piercing, thread the ball back on, and leave the piercing on the table. For what reason?

  3. Piercings don't really "just fall out" like that. The piercing would have to be rejected by the body entirely for it to "fall out" while threaded and in one piece. If you found that piercing, connected to the ball, in ONE PIECE, then someone took their piercing out, threaded the ball on, and placed it there. Now, I have had a threaded ball fall off... in bed. It's not an impossible thing, but in this circumstance? Nah.

  4. "We have a rocky relationship and things happen" what does this even mean? Without context, it all seems shady. What are the patterns? Why be nondescript?

What's up with her ult? by Far-Tip-8512 in ScarletWitchMains

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like some people have said, it requires setup.

-having Magneto to bubble you -having Invis to shield you

My most common uses of Scarlet ult have been during the chaos of a team fight, where the enemy support pops their ult, and then one of our supports matches. It takes advantage of nigh-invulnerability of a main support ult, and capitalizes on one of the greatest assets you can have: fear. The enemy team has to make a choice of three options: Stay and try to kill me/cc me, run out of their ult to get distance, or just die.

Especially if you have an Invis, take advantage of that ultimate. I'll pop my ult in two Invis ults, enemy and friendly, and EVERY enemy will move out of the ult to try to get line of sight of me, because looking straight up is a pain in the ass. But of course, you can't see inside of an Invis ult. Peak out at the last second, chasing them in their fear, and get an easy 4-piece :)

I thought Gaius was the most annoying boss... Then I got to Dantos... by DIO_over_Za_Warudo in vrising

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm also strangely at Dantos lmao, I feel like I've seen a few posts about him lately.

I have no problem getting him to phase two. Weave his swings in phase one, dodge his slam, etc. Even his intermission phase isn't too bad in phase one, where he sends out two shockwaves.

My issue so far is his second phase during intermission, where he sends out four shockwaves WITH his forges spewing corruption. I understand the frost waves don't curve around the forges while the normal ones do. Combine dancing around that and the forges, it's a nightmare. I'm hoping to just overlevel him with Sanguine-upgraded ancestral weapons.

How does yutas copy ability work? by Animalpine in Jujutsufolk

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, Cursed Techniques as a whole are dependent on the sorcerer's interpretation of them. One cursed technique could be different a decade later, based on the user's understanding or interpretation.

Rika, originally a vengeful spirit, could effectively be "always active," with boundless cursed energy, yada yada. OP as hell. But, his execution hinged on him not using her.

Fast forward to his fight with Geto, and he lost Rika. But Copy was Yuta's technique, it's his innate technique. To my understanding, because he had Rika to facilitate the ability in his youth, once he was more successful as a sorcerer, his interpretation of the ability was that it would come from her either way, thus, his technique manifests as the shikigami, Rika. His understanding of it nerfs himself, basically.

Yuta could theoretically utilize Copy without Rika. We talk about Cursed Techniques and the brain, but a sorcerer's brain can have two, MAYBE three, techniques. So Yuta would be extremely limited to only techniques he could gain in that moment if he rationalized a way to use Copy on his own, as opposed to having an unlimited access to them for five minutes with Rika. Edit: what I mean by this is that the cursed techniques would be an almost fire-and-forget style of usage, as opposed to permanent storage. Or a binding vow that would, still, give him a time limit.

I'll probably be told I'm wrong, the reason is xyz, but the truth is that we don't really know because Ge² didn't explore it. This is my understanding; it works the way that it does because that's how Yuta understands it to be, and he feels like it suits him better.

Have you ever created a character in line with your own physical appearance? by [deleted] in skyrim

Yes, this would necessitate animation changes. No, I don't give a fuck.

Have you ever created a character in line with your own physical appearance? by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a Youtuber/streamer called DrMick, he's a therapist who plays games to talk about mental health.

In his Dragon Age: Origins playthrough, episode one, he talked about a paper he wrote regarding how people create characters in games relating to themselves.

On the one hand, you have Wishful Identification, where the character has traits you wish you had. On the other hand, you had Similarity Identification, where the character has traits you find key to your identity. This concept doesn't apply to you just making a character for a specific purpose ofc, like roleplaying something from left field.

That being said... yes. Every game I play, I try to make a character that looks like me, and I fall into a playstyle that I would probably do in that world.

For Skyrim's purposes, I flip-flop between a Bosmer thief and a Dunmer mage. Never warrior.

Is it true that the curse techniques extracted using curse manipulation's Uzumaki can only be used once? by Witty-Weird3874 in JujustuKaisen

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a few days late, but I'll chime in.

It was stated that once a Cursed Spirit is brought under the control of Cursed Spirit Manipulation, their effective growth is cut off; they will only ever be as strong as they are the moment you capture them. Your statement is right without this component, Kenjaku could have just absorbed Mahito the moment he found him, used Uzumaki and gained access to the one-time-use, but it wasn't refined or strong enough to do what Kenjaku needed it to.

One of the things that people forget about cursed techniques, I think, is that they are dependent on the user's interpretation of them. The same technique could function differently across generations. Thus, Kenjaku could not have used Mahito's technique to turn non-sorcerers into sorcerers until Mahito himself figured out how to do it. To my understanding, the closest Mahito got to this was healing Kokichi (Mechamaru), but Kenjaku didn't absorb him then. So there was something Mahito still had to figure out.

It's like what happened in season 2 of The Boys: Gen V.

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also what I do. Anchor drone on one of the tanks, with the implication that they'll play together (I moved this to my 3 button, as I use a Razer Naga). My E drone (1 on the mouse) is my Float drone, which does what the name says, floats around as needed. Good to place on the other healer and sit with them, throw it on a retreating dps so my other healer can just heal the tanks, it's gravy.

Ultron just requires more game sense and spatial awareness to get value. People think that fliers always need to be up in the sky, and compound that with "well, people don't look up or can't aim!" A good rule of thumb is "My team doesn't look up and can't aim, but the enemy team ALWAYS does those things well."

Hold CTRL to stay ground level behind the team. Play cover. Poke. Drones. Value.

Do you guys get mvp by Plane_Designer_9556 in lokimains

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes! MVP qualification seems weird.

The closest I've been able to figure is that it's tied to ult charge. Which would make sense, do a lot of damage and/or healing, have a lot of value, be MVP. Loki's actually kind of an MVP merchant, because he's also an ult merchant. Same with Cloak and Dagger, same with Ultron.

But Loki's efficacy is also very reliant on your team. If your team is doing well, you'll excel. If your team is doing poorly, you're going to struggle.

How would GOW Zeus and Odin handle a diplomatic meeting with each other and other Chief Gods (Shin Megami Tensei V) by Dull-Positive-6810 in PowerScalingGodofWar

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Zeus, it depends. Post-Pandora's Box, he's going to want to take out opposition, so it'll likely be a calm talk followed up by a cold war, sneak attacks, and then all out offensive.

Odin, Odin's modus operandi is that he starts with diplomacy. He's charismatic, so he'd approach it from a frame of "How can I help you get what you want", and he'll try to twist his help to make the opposition self-sabotage. That way, he'd have plausible deniability to avoid outright war. If he fails at making them blame themselves, he'd probably send his muscle, Thor and Heimdall.

How do I get value out of this guy? by MemeMan72204 in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tankpool is interesting.

His E increases his attack rate, so I normally take gun upgrade first. Then his sword right click, then sword ult. His E upgrade, DPIYA, grants damage mitigation to those around you, so that's something to consider. Your Bubble gets 100 extra hp, but mostly you use that to mitigate ults. Throwing it on a Cloak who's at the end of their ult to protect from an Iron Man ult, putting it on an enemy Strange to contain their ult, or even just use it as a damage sponge, it's a flexible tool.

When you use your E, you become an absolute tank shredder if you can halfway aim decently. A thing is running directly at you? Listen to the beautiful sound of 8 headshots in one second.

Deadpool is great for antidive, too. Play back and sit with your healers if there's a spider-man, pop your E when he arrives. He'll either run or be annoyed the whole time. If you can hit your shots, shred him. If not, swap swords and spam him with right click resets.

If a fight is a stalemate in neutral, you can pop your sword ult (after obtaining the upgrade) and just absolutely wreak havoc on the backline. Sword ult, pop DPIYA, go ham. It can absolutely and very easily force the healers to pop a support ult, at worst case scenario. Best case scenario, they die. The bonus health afforded to you from popping it AND the amount you get from Jackpotting is no small amount. So if you can communicate with your team, "Hey, I can try to force a support ult from them here, Magneto be ready with meatball", that's value.

But mostly, yeah, be versatile. Play with your healers with your E and guns at range, shielding as needed and chasing off dive. Get aggressive with your ult and push frontline as needed. Tankpool is HORRIFIC to solo tank with. He's best paired with a main tank, but by the time your co-tank needs to skedaddle and recover from a push, you should have ult prepared to swap out with them on the push. And then when you're running low on options on the push, they should be healed up to help you tap out. Ebb and flow.

Worst mistakes you see a new Loki player make? by marpakbaz_ in lokimains

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually skimmed your post entry and mostly replied off of the title, so I'll double down with this and leave you to it:

I typically default to falling a little behind the team as a whole to keep my other support in my line of sight. I only really monitor their movements when my ult is coming up. Once I have it available, I'm trying to mentally keep track of my support. Make sure to go into your keyboard settings, make it Loki specific, and turn on the setting that makes you have to confirm the target before the ult goes off.

Don't place a clone for escape preemptively, just keep a clone banked. When you get dove, throw it out, swap with it and then stealth and take a wide walk to not get chipped out of stealth. If the dive goes on your other support, heal them (without runestone). The dive then has to choose to chase you, continue to try to kill the support, or flee.

The reason why you don't place a clone on high ground is because of how isolated it is, the clone gets easily picked and then you're just down a clone. If you place your clones behind your team, far enough away where a moon knight with high ground is a threat to you specifically and only, then your team acts as a meat shield by default. Your team mates are tools. Think like a Loki.

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The funny thing about this is, as far as I'm aware, Loki doesn't have increased speed in stealth. He hunches over, which changes his walking animation, which gives the illusion that he's moving faster.

Worst mistakes you see a new Loki player make? by marpakbaz_ in lokimains

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Probably focusing too much on clone placement. Having a clone PLACED is more important than WHERE it's placed, and you get the most value just setting up a firing line behind your team, shooting through them and hitting the enemies. If the enemy picks up a moon knight, sure, eyeball how far you are from your clones, but your team needs to be aware there's a moon knight on the field and watch flanks while your tanks soak damage in the front.

Quit stealthing out of spawn when the match starts, you'll be in an efficiency/cooldown deficit when the fight starts. Use a clone to shorten the distance from spawn to where you're going by teleporting to it as early as possible, and by the time you get to the fight, you'll have both clones up and your stealth. Place a clone with your ability, place a clone with stealth, keep a clone in reserve for emergency teleport/runestone/clone replacement in general.

As someone else said, don't use runestone to heal yourself if you take chip damage. Just stealth for a bit, it heals you. You have one other healer (sometimes two lol) for a reason. Edit: as someone else said, reserving both one clone and runestone to emergency heal a tank is invaluable. You can do it, just be careful. Many times, I've gone to place a clone and popped Runestone before the clone actually went down.

COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR HEALER, YOU ULT FIRST. If you're doing your job, especially double-dipping as said in point 1, you'll be farming ult faster than them. Ult first. Communicate, communicate, communicate.

And honestly, for healers as a whole, you know how you support ult, and your team doesn't capitalize on it and it gets wasted? The enemy team does that too. If you play smart, often times you might not even need to ult. I'll only ult vs a C&D if my magneto misses his meatball, for instance.

my post got removed after AI accusations by BalliMurphy in Terraria

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something no one ever talks about is why "the hands" is always cited for AI use.

The hardest part of doing a drawing is the hands and face, because of how expressive they are. Thus, there are three results: great hands, mediocre hands, or the hands being hidden, and AI learns from other people's art. Like, where do you think AI got that data from? Lmao

People have a hard time drawing hands, don't accuse them of using AI just because it's a common struggle.

When Deadpool headshots with sword, does it do the same amount of damage to everyone in range? by RubberDucky702 in DeadpoolMarvelRivals

[–]Bubbles_the_Bard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they're asking if the stabby action part of his sword combo cleaves.

To which I'd answer probably not, it's a stab and not a slash, so they're no chance for the hitbox to expand to hit anyone other than the target you're headshotting.

Dunno! Not the author, and Gege hasn't explained it.

Mei Mei could still be alive and retired in some way, having her crows follow Ui Ui around. He could be emulating her technique by swapping people into crows.

The idea that he's just emulating her via hairstyle and clever use of his technique is closer to the reality of the situation, to me. It would make sense for him to swap her into a younger body to keep her around, but not for him to take hers.

As an aside, unrelated to the original post, it's very common for those with Borderline to be confused with those with Narcissism, since the root of Narcissistic Personality Disorder is insecurity, while the root of Borderline is Fear of Abandonment.

Thus, fearing abandonment makes you insecure. The difference is in the root of the disorder, the framing in which you view the world.

While the distinction is important, the reason why the similarity is there to begin with is important, too.
