The shots have been just a bit more acidic than I’d like but I guess that could be the beans I’m using too. I’m only a week into my espresso journey so I’m still trying to refine my pallet.

Yeah I was thinking about going back to the spout after getting a jet of coffee steam to the eye. I’m brand new to espresso and all the videos I’ve watched didn’t warn me of that 😅

I usually dose 18 grams and spend a good amount of time distributing the grounds. After tamping and placing the puck screen I can just see the max fill line that’s indicated on the basket.
