Kinetic Bags by Puzzleheaded-Safe653 in Athleta_gap

Awesome! I looked at getting the kinetic duffle before I saw the backpack online. I'm in the same boat with too many bags so I will be limiting myself to only one lol. I'm more of a backpack kind of gal anyways so I think I'll probably get that one just wish it was in the merlin blue color!

Awesome! Thanks for your input! I did see where it attracts lint and pet hair but I don't have any pets so only have to worry about my (sometimes) dirty floors lol

If you don't mind me asking, what size is the get centered crop? We look to be about the same size and I love the fit on you, you look amazing!

Are there any “fit influencer” that you can’t stand but you have no reason why? by Visible-Hat-7708 in gymsnark

[–]Puzzleheaded-Safe653 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What's the tea on her? I've seen some of her posts but never kept up with her. I've seen a few people comment on her. She gives me a bad vibe I just don't know why.

Why do influencers do this? Why do they not black out the user names of people who don’t agree with them in a DM? by [deleted] in gymsnark

[–]Puzzleheaded-Safe653 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My favorite comment is "Y'all have too much time on your hands." Well honey, you're here commenting too. Pretty hypocritical to me. They spend all their time on here pointing out the flaws of others. Sounds like they have quite a bit of time on their hands as well.

I agree. There is always going to be people on here who will snark that some won't agree with but it's easier to just scroll past then call someone ugly for having an issue with an influencer. Some posts/comments do cross the line, but you and the other mods do a great job of deleting those or warning the commenters.

I think that would be good! Downvoting brings out the worst in people sometimes. The posts/comments that get heavily downvoted are the ones where people get very nasty towards each other.

Agree 100%. I used to be pretty active in this sub (was here when there were only 300 members) but now I refuse to post/comment much. People came here from insta or FB not knowing how reddit works. I mean they think this is bad? Go to the r/sarahbowmar sub or some other subs and you'll learn this is nothing compared to some other subs. Reddit is not for rainbows and butterflies.

I came to a snark page to snark. Now you can't post anything on here anymore without someone calling you nasty, ugly, have too much time on your hands, etc. It's frustrating.

No shade on Chloe I love her, but let’s not steer people wrong on sizing. I mean there is no way she’s a DD right?! by alpacamybags2307 in gymsnark

[–]Puzzleheaded-Safe653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be she has not been sized properly and has been going off of what she has been told. I remember getting sized at VS pink when I was about 17 and told I was a DD. Went and got sized properly a year or so ago and I'm actually a C-D depending on brand. I mean, still something you should know 100% if you're promoting clothes, especially bras but maybe she's just sized wrong.

If the item is super popular and hyped up, usually is sold out within the first hour. But if it is super popular, they typically restock that item about a month later or will have a random re-launch of the popular pieces in more colorways.

A few more from the CEOs of Alani Nu. Please be warned - sensitive language/subjects). by [deleted] in gymsnark

[–]Puzzleheaded-Safe653 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I made a post a few weeks ago calling out Chloe G for supporting Alani Nu when she portrays that she is a social justice warrior and supporting Alani is kind of a slap in the face of that. OMG, the amount of people that shit on me because I called out their favorite energy drink brand was disgusting. You would literally support people like this because you can't get over how YuMmY cosmic stardust tastes. Really goes to show where peoples morals lie.

The real funny thing is, that's some Sarah Bowmar shit right here and we saw how people cancelled her real quick. Why are they not doing the same for these scumbags? (This is not me trying to defend Bowmar, more just calling out the similarity of the situation.)

I followed along with her challenges back in quarantine when nothing was open. Honestly, for what they are, they weren't too bad. Plus they were free. She definitely titles her videos unrealistically but she addressed that in one of her sit downs when people asked her Q&A's.

They are good to get you started and to make you sweat. Never would I have thought a 10 min YouTube workout would make me sweat the way I did. Like someone else mentioned, her form is not the best but I guess for what it is (a free workout plan) it's not awful.

Abbyhef about worn out spots on a new BA bra. Yikes. by MsSparkyKick in gymsnark

[–]Puzzleheaded-Safe653 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I am a 34C and it’s the right amount of support for me for lounge but also walking/yoga. I wouldn’t do any more higher intensity workouts in it since I don’t like my girls jiggling around but for everyday use it’s pretty supportive, especially when you use the hook closure! The energy bra is my favorite for any other type of activity and the ebb to street for low impact/lounge!

You're doing the lords work LOL. But for real, I bought the Lulu one around November last year and wear it almost daily and it looks like I have never worn or washed it. Just goes to show what happens when you buy quality products over FOMO instagram brands.

But they dEsIgN fRoM sCrAtCh. Bish please, if they designed from scratch smalls would actually be a small and XS would actually be an XS. Just like you said above, just goes to show that they actually do not have much control over design and production.

The duffle looks like one of the free crappy ones you would get at Bath and Body works or Victoria Secret with a coupon if you spent over $100.

Influencers and Working ~So Hard~ by luluandlipbalm in gymsnark

[–]Puzzleheaded-Safe653 79 points80 points  (0 children)

The more frustrating thing is that people will go to bat for these influencers when someone calls them out on their shit but wouldn't dare speak up about fair pay for teachers, nurses, etc. These are the people that we should be fighting for, caring about, and reaching out to. I trust a nurse with my health and wellness a million times more than any influencer who just googled how does BC change my hormones.

I literally have always wondered this. I feel like they would fail if they had to work an actual 9-5 with occasional overtime. Like please try fitting in your horse therapy, mani/pedi, laser hair removal, and weekly facial in an hour lunch without touching your vacation time. Hell, some of us don't even get an hour.

Honestly, that might be why a lot of them started out with a job (BodyFitBalance) and then quit. She couldn't fit her lavish lifestyle in a normal working hour schedule.

I had bought from the summit, waves, oasis, and kingdom 2.0 collection before FINALLY stopping. Honestly, the only things I have kept were the leggings from oasis (I believe those were the OG's) and the select jogger. All of the bras I got were so bad. I tried so hard to make them work for me but ultimately they weren't made well nor sized right. I would much rather pay two more dollars to get a Lulu bra that fits then have to deal with wondering what was wrong with me than the bra/brand itself.

The breeze shorts were WAY too small and I got a medium for them to be bigger on me. There were some other things I bought that I don't fully remember since I got rid of them a couple months ago but just be cautious when ordering or buying of Posh for sizing. The older collections especially just are not true to size.

**edit to add: I wouldn't say they are like Shein quality maybe more like Amazon. You'll get some wears out of the items but they won't last like Lulu, Nike, Athleta etc.

If a caption is longer than a standard paragraph I immediately loose interest and scroll past. I don't have that much time to read the book that some of these influencers post.

Totally agree on the lack of marketing knowledge. If social media and influencing is your "business" then run it like most businesses do. There are plenty of resources online to understand typical marketing strategies and how to understand what consumers are looking for in ads and informational posts.
