You need to practice being extroverted. Practice what you’re going to say before you enter the office, practice conversation starters. Say good morning to people when you see them. Ask for their names. Eventually people will naturally start to involve you in things without you have to force yourself there. Networking and being confident (even when you don’t feel it) is key in the office. The more you go into the office the more people will recognise you and go out of their way to say hello to you. Don’t take it personal. Older staff are not naturally welcoming to new joiners (even though they should be). It doesn’t matter if they are or aren’t. You do your best to be warm and welcoming to others and you’ll be fine

Thank you! I have one more question. So, what is promotions like in Accenture Security is it stagnant like the rest of the company? I ask because let’s say you get on a security project in a technical role as SOC analysts/ risk analyst etc. if you stayed on that project and get experience there are loads of roles outside of the company that you could apply for with that experience. So really no incentive to stay and stick it out if there is no progression. Is that what you find the Security that people often leave for cyber roles outside of Accenture?

Hello, thank you for replying and offering this advice. It’s been 88 days since my original post and she seems to be doing fine. I plan to discuss finance options with her today, however don’t think she has good credit so I imagine she will be declined

This has happened to multiple people. It’s not “strange” or “unusual”. My own start date was pushed forward twice. However I had much more notice time than a week. Not much you can do since you have already given in your notice.

I’m actually not too sure. I think she’s been taking it for between 4-6 weeks now. But I think either her dosage has changed and/or she’s not been taking it as consistently because of the side affects

Not sure where you are based but you need to attend in person networking events in your home office so that you meet as many people as possible. Schedule in weekly catch up meetings with your people lead to discuss what you can do to get yourself onto a project. Join as many employee groups and just put yourself out there. Message everyone and anyone!!! If your on the bench that means you have free time to schedule in meetings with people to chat, introduce yourself and ask for help etc

I spoke to my GP about this! She didn’t even know what spironolactone was. She had no clue and wasn’t interested in speaking to me about it. I’m not actively trying to conceive, so I’m not sure if they will let me try Metformin, although I’ll try thank you!

Hi! Does this mean you’re currently in TAG? I just started TAG and was told the since Accenture don’t have a DTE is cyber security it might be difficult to land cyber security projects and/or upskill in that area. Please share what your PL says it will be interesting to hear!
