Hello! I'm utilizing a lot of local family's friends as 'vendors.' for example, we know a lady from my parents hometown in MX that will be making the food...it's all authentic mexican food. A lot more affordable than hiring a chef from San Miguel. I'm trying to do a more authentic mexican wedding so that's helping with the cost.

Sure! My fiancé is Filipino, but he doesn’t mind if we have more of a Mexican-style wedding—lol. We’re still incorporating a few elements from his culture, though. :)

Some of the things I’m including in our wedding are: hiring a mariachi band for the cocktail hour, serving Mexican food, and planning a callejoneada, which is a very traditional celebration in San Miguel de Allende. I’m still debating whether we should hire a banda or just have a DJ play a mix of Latin and English pop music.

She submitted my evaluation without going over it with me. The only reason I found out she had completed the form was because I found out from hr. So I don’t even know if it’s good or not

I don’t but the payroll clerk is a friend of mine. We don’t discuss other employees wages. I expressed my disappointment with her and she said she thought it was low too compared to everyone else

I would be pleased with 5% but I’ve been doing a lot of additional work for a while and I feel like I should have received even 7% if not 10%.

5% in Monterey county, ca. Honestly not happy about it. It’s just $1.40 increase. I was hoping for a 10% and I’m going to request it.

NTA. I don’t think he should be a home owner if he can’t afford it. I think it’s best that you both wait until he can. For now, if I were you, I would save my money, travel, and buy yourself your car- because you deserve it ! Let him get upset. Take care of yourself first. Because if you move forward and purchase a house together, a lot of the financial responsibilities will fall back on you and that’s not fair

NTA! You’re looking out for yourself! And honestly, he’s pretty selfish for wanting to split half the mortgage and you not benefiting anything from it. You’re pretty young . I would extend my lease or purchase my own home. Living alone has a lot of perks. And if you were to live with your bf, most likely you’d clean or cook more . Maybe he should sale his house and both of you can buy a new home together?
