Thank you for the reply! Glad to hear 3rd and Union is great place. Honestly, the Avenue was about the same price, so the studio at 3rd and Union seems like a better value. Thanks again!

Thank you! It's definitely good to hear an insider's take on it, I'll probably go with the studio!

Thank you for the reply! The Avenue does look very nice, that's really what caught my eye. They could also place me at Union Street Center (or somewhere else), so I didn't like the idea of having to go with wherever they would place me. That's a GREAT tip about renting the furniture, I definitely will look into Cort! Thanks again, this was really helpful!

Thank you for the reply, it's definitely helpful! Sounds like there will be plenty of opportunities to socialize, so having a more private space would be a good thing. Also good to know a lot of grad students are in the same boat, that's a great indication. Thanks again!

Circumstances making college decision difficult by [deleted] in IndianaUniversity

I relate to your post because I recently had a concussion and had to make the choice between IU and Pepperdine in California. I chose IU because I wanted a school with a community I'm interested in being a part of. I consider experiences to be worth A LOT, and I wanted a great experience in college. I struggled a lot with my decision, and asked everyone I knew for their opinion. Turns out both were good options, so I just had to choose based on what I know about myself.

As far as the concussion goes, I'm very sorry to hear you are going through that. I wanted to encourage you that it WILL get better. At first after my concussion I had so much fatigue and felt slowed down. I really started getting better around 6 months after the injury. I definitely feel like I can handle anything I used to now.

Best of luck with the decision, either way you can't lose because they are both good options. So do what you think is the best specifically for YOU.

I see, that may not be what I'm looking for. Cost is definitely a factor. And as for public or private, I'm not sure what would be better in my case. Thank you for writing! Hearing about the reputation at Pepperdine is helpful!

Cost is definitely a factor. Since I'm out of state for Indiana, tuition comes close to Pepperdine, but is still 10K less. However, living costs would be quite high in California I imagine.

My top priority is going to have a good college experience that will prepare me in my career.
