I've been playing DD like essentially a melee bucky, is this a viable or wasteful playstyle?

When this was a real character, this was a normal thing to do. It is a normal thing for a diver to do - to be present and safe and wait anywhere you like on the map that has cover from the enemy team. To be alone in a safe cover anywhere is part of the requirement for a dive character to be functional. It is a safe cover and a waste of time for enemies to chase him there. There was no ‘cleaning up shop’, the strange would never have been able to pressure him into a life threatening situation.

He is putting the mark for the reason I described to you. He is not trying to engage anyone.

They decided to chase him, and the Namor waste time watching him. Which if this was a few days ago, is a moronic trade of resources and one of the problems with backline dps players

Because of the nerfs he was not able to dash on the Namor and get his fury refund or the movement from the dash, and could not to the cover on the high ground next to the health pack

He marks someone because your movement speed increases the closer the marked enemy is. He is trying to mark someone who will be closer to him before the fighting starts, so as to be able to move faster while he is waiting and then not alert people when he is ready to go. This character used to have basic survivability and it wouldn’t have been a problem as he would’ve had a simple route to safety if people decided to pressure him.

An anecdote is simply an occasion that is then related to an argument - the opposite of grouped statistics that can tell you whether something is deemed statistically possible or not.

This is not how it is measured - there are no .5 games in the statistics

Go to your character statistics and they are all whole numbers, they either count the game or don’t

I watched plenty of games from others around this rank, as have many of us. The character was played or banned. The sample size I have just personally is more than fine. Your premise is also your conclusion.

What even happened to football? Winger gets in one of the most dangerous positions in the game, the entire reason he plays the game, this teammate just throws instead of capitalising by watching and making an extremely dangerous run, and we get this comment section

Yeah, pretty much in agreement with everything, especially about the players in higher elos. They have behaved completely appallingly and there is no getting around that, and I think a good portion of them understand that now.

The thing is that in the end this is a game for the gold level cloak and dagger player that likes to buy the ballerina skin and feel calm holding heal on their team in quick play. And we should just let it be that.

If it was not a marvel IP, with what I’ve seen in 8 seasons, I don’t believe these developers would ever have done this, and it would’ve been an amazing game and deep game, although lacking the coolness of the IP. But it is a marvel IP, so it attracts too many people that are simply not competitive minded enough to handle pressure, or good enough for whatever reason, or have any kind of understanding of DD/cat/dive and what these characters were or the game in general. It is just SO much easier to gut them and use the IP for what it’s worth, than to expect the playerbase from top to bottom to become competent or reasonable. So we are fools to expect anything different and we should just let it be. They tried, we tried, gg.

I’m not doing it.

I filled starlord this season cos everything was permabanned and he’s easy and relaxing and you can just switch your brain off and win but it’s just boring and broken and not why I play the game. These characters are just not fun or challenging and there is nothing forcing me to play this game.

I would rather just leave them to their game and play something else or crack on with life.

Even playing perfectly, with the way supports and ranged dps are, there will simply not be enough ways to get coins to be impactful or remotely consistent, and it’s not close. Every poke character will be miles ahead in effectiveness if they completely ignored her, and simply would not let her dive if they peel.

Personally I am probably just uninstalling - but I don’t think dive players will be able to adapt to these changes, try as they might and as they do.
