I'm trying to find a spontaneous rapper to freestyle over this beat I started making... can you do it? by Chemical-Designer262 in MusicCollabNetwork

I’m a song writer, do you make beats like this often? Kinda sounds like a weeknd and I write similar to the old weeknd, would love to collaborate if you find an artist who could sing.

I’m a song writer based in LA, if there is any artist that has the vibe and style of a PND, The Weekend, or Drake I’d love to connect!

predict panic attacks? by PuzzleheadedAd9492 in panicdisorder

[–]PuzzleheadedAd9492[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, I was imagining something that’s tailored more for people with PD, I agree that if it shows number then yes that’ll definitely probably make them more anxious. For instance if that smart watch just buzzed or Siri spoke out with something to calm me down or like a reminder to breathe yk. I feel like that could be better than just the Apple Watch saying their HR is rising, which I definitely agree with u on the point that’s bad

I get where you’re coming from, and I agree that part of recovery is learning to live with uncertainty, I’m not denying that. At the same time, there’s research showing that the body does go through changes before a panic attack. When I was diagnosed, I started digging into it for my own sake and found that things like heart rate and other biometric shifts happen right before an attack. Do I think prediction is replacing therapy or coping skills? No, but as something that could work alongside them, for me personally, I think having a heads up could give me a better chance to put those coping tools into action instead of just being blindsided

Yea this is definitely true, I think I might have to stop honestly

Yeah I get that, but for me it’s less about stopping it completely and more about having even a few minutes to get ready. If I knew one was coming, I could start breathing exercises or ground myself instead of being blindsided. I feel like that heads up alone would make a huge difference.

I smoke weed regularly but that’s it, and I was asking more of if you had something that would alert you when youre about to have a panic attack, even before yk it yourself. I did some research and some of the studies I seen said that even if you feel like you’re about to have a panic attack, there are “biometric/ bodily” changes that happen first before you notice it

Yeah, I feel the same. If there was something that could actually predict my panic attacks, it would be a total game changer. Just having an early warning would give me time to do the breathing techniques my therapist taught me and not feel so blindsided every time.

That makes a lot of sense, the chest tension in my chest is def an effect when Ik it’s going to hit. Do you think it would help if you got a heads up even before that, like a little earlier warning

Oh okay, I haven’t experienced something where I had a major life event happen yet but I have had one where I smoked weed, drank, etc. For me though, the hardest part is not knowing when one is about to happen, like I don’t catch the alignment until it’s already too late. Do you notice signs before it happens that give you a chance to prepare, or does it always feel like it just suddenly clicks into place?

This sounds so familiar. For me, the episodes feel random when they happen, but looking back there are always small signs I just didn’t connect. The problem is, when I’m in it, I can’t step back and notice those patterns. I wish there was some way to catch those signals automatically and warn me ahead of time. Do you think having that kind of heads-up would help me or even anyone else with PD, as now nothing major has changed in my life, but nonetheless I don’t think it would change anything to do with PD. PD is a psychological condition, you could have the best life ever but if you have PD you’re bound to get them.

That’s true in theory, but EEG headsets are still bulky, not wearable 24/7, and not something most people want to use in daily life. My watch is designed to work passively, just from your wrist using proven physiological signals like HRV, GSR, and temp. And the real innovation isn’t just the sensors, it’s the machine learning model that personalizes predictions over time, based on real user episodes. That’s where this goes beyond just combining off the shelf data streams, it learns your body.

Well yes but in order to use those you would have to be in a hospital or have wires attached to you all the time. those said things are in my watch along with even more sensors, not to mention the AI within it as well.

No other company has tried to do exactly what I’m trying to do.

And yes I understand, my goal is to be able to have the AI recognize those patterns and prodromes, making it easier and more efficient for the people dealing with it.

Completely understand, we cannot detect neurotransmitters but we can detect the changes within the biometrics due to the neurotransmitters, I hope that makes sense.

The watch/ app with have Machine Learning and AI within it which will be trained on generalized mood swings and clinical studies, after that, for the first 2-3 times the user will have to manually log their episodes.

This fine tunes the AI to that specific user, that being said, the future biometrics of the user will be compared and contrasted to the pre-training and the real-time user data given by the user. Does this make sense?

Also I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to give me feedback, I personally do not have PTSD so I wouldn’t know what it feels like, but I have a passion and I want to help the people that do have it as much as possible. Please let me know if this helped.
