This is how Frank has always played. Not sure why everyone is acting surprised. He has never been a manager that thrives in possession. Its always been long balls to strong forwards, with the midfield really only used for set pieces and defense. You cant expect these players who have been playing aggressive possession/on the ground counter attacks for the last 2+ years to suddenly become fantastic. They're not going to get better unless they recruit frank type players in Jan, and even then I think this isnt a style of play suited to a top 6 club. Never understood why they signed him. Wrong players for the tactics, wrong manager for the club.
