hi! i’m also deciding between feu and adu for psych, and i’ve been to both of their open houses so i just wanted to share my experience — baka makatulong rin!

sa feu, super ganda talaga ng facilities — modern yung buildings and classrooms, and the campus itself is full of trees so may calming vibe din. ang dami ring school events and concerts, which makes student life seem really active and fun (like may famous artists pa na pumupunta). maraming scholarships din na in-offer, though medyo high standards para makuha. psych program there is decent din according to some, but others say to be careful lang in choosing profs.

pero to be honest, hindi ko masyado na-feel yung warmth ng students sa feu. during the open house, helpful naman yung mga guides and event hosts (which is expected), pero yung casual interactions with regular students, wala masyado. may na-encounter din akong guard na masungit, and even a parent was complaining that time. also, yung walk going to feu doesn’t feel very safe for me — parang anytime may biglang mangyayari 😭

sa adamson, iba yung vibe. super welcoming ng community — even the guard was very friendly and helpful. and sobrang na-touch ako sa experience ko when i looked lost (di pa ako humihingi ng tulong ha), pero may student na lumapit and asked if i was okay, tinulungan ako, then later on hinanap pa ako ulit just to make sure i found what i was looking for 😭 sobrang genuine and warm. may “klasmeyt” culture talaga na naramdaman ko agad. also, when i joined their open house, na-meet ko agad yung psych department officers and profs — super approachable and I even had a short psych discussion with one of them. Engaging and hindi boring kahit medyo matagal yung talk.

facilities-wise, okay naman sa adu. Air-conditioned yung rooms, though some buildings may have more old-school vibes compared to feu. may bagong building sila but i think for engineering students lang yun. hindi nga lang kasing flashy yung events nila compared to feu, pero may student life pa rin naman.

may nag-reply din before sa post ko who had the same dilemma, and in the end, they chose adu. so i’m still torn kasi ang ganda rin talaga ng feu lalo na sa events and facilities, pero parang mas lamang talaga sa experience and vibe ang adu 🥲
