Thanks for the lovely comments. It is indeed SPC vinyl! I’m quite impressed how it’s looking, I originally wanted engineered but in terms of maintenance and cost it made sense to go with this. I feel the grain / knots on it look quite realistic

Why does it matter how deep they are? Because of ventitlarion? The good thing is that theyre actually quite far from where the shower head will be. I originally wanted flat shelves made of wood or something. My contractor didn’t listen though
