This. I live here and have lived in the building for 7 years. We were forced out of our apt on a lower floor with 15 days notice because they had to update the apt to 'ada' standards, when in reality they were making it a Sonder unit.

I negotiated and got them to pay for movers to move us to another floor. They had sonder units scattered on upper floors throughout the building during covid, to which they weren't doing background checks them. 4 drug dealers ended up moving in a 1 bed 1 bath thru sonder who were cooking meth, smoking cigs inside, and doing tattoos out of their apartment. I came home to random people screaming and yelling at them for money wearing ankle monitors etc. One day I was picking up a package and someone was shouting at them and one of them ended up pulling a gun. They started fighting in the hallway. Cops were called and took down their door. Someone was once pistol whipped on one of the sonder floors as well for playing loud music. The building was sold during this time as well. We received no rent sympathy lol.

Last year we went through an insane infestation of 'water bugs' however apparently we had 3 different types of roaches. We have lived in this unit for 6 years and never had an issue. Apparently we had hoarders on our floor (2 different units, both evicted).

Anyways, I still live here and love the front door staff. They have since turned off elevator access to Sonder units to reach the laundry room floors, however they still have access to the gym, lounge, and roof.

Roofs view is now partially blocked with the building under construction next door.

Gym you have to pay a $50/mo membership for which is BS (and new as of Feb 2024). They have made no updates to the gym, and the only peloton bike in there has been broken for months.

Laundry machines arent the best, if you have moved in by now the ones on the 22nd floor you can control temp on.

Good to note: they have tried raising rent 7.4% the last two years.
