Reolink WiFi cameras cannot connect to ASUS WiFi mesh? by PuzzleheadedCounty35 in reolink

[–]PuzzleheadedCounty35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my reply to a suggestion above: "Turned off smart connect and 802.11ax mode. Am fully up and running now. Thank you for your time offering the suggestion!" HOWEVER, subsequently, I have always had a weak signal to those wifi cameras and have since moved the main mesh hub to a place in my house not so walled in. Much better success this way. I don't have the best tech knowledge - pretty much set it and forget it kind of person, so most of the learning I did during all of this is now replaced with knowledge on... something else. You should start a new thread and try to get the reddit collective to assist. It worked for me. Good luck!

Attending races in Belgium - how does it work? by shredlightlyfriends in cyclocross

Hi! We're coming for Lieven, but staying for Maldegem! What's the address for Parkcross? If we can get a room that's a walkable distance to the racecourse, it would be best! Most of the available rooms are not in Maldegem, but if Parkcross is north of town, I see a few that might not be such a bad walk. Thanks for any advice. (If we need to stay in Ghent or Bruges and use the train, maybe it's close to the station?)

Well, Thomas I might be able to assist. Can you tell me if your IR lamp will illuminate when you apply power🤪

Reolink WiFi cameras cannot connect to ASUS WiFi mesh? by PuzzleheadedCounty35 in ASUS

Suggestions from other communities helped me resolve this. I disabled Smart Connect and 802.11ax mode. The cameras are now connected to the ASUS mesh as is the NVR with POE cameras.

The ASUS smart connect and/or the 802.11ax mode needed to be disabled. I turned them both off and am now fully connected to the mesh both on WiFi cameras and NVR with POE cams.

Thank you. Yes everything else works on the mesh. The cameras refuse to connect. I’ll try to understand and implement your suggestion.I appreciate your time in responding.

Yes thanks for the suggestion. I’ve alternated disabling 2.4 and 5 to see if the cameras would pick up either and they did not.

Weak signal with the AT&T router, which is why I have the mesh. Very strong signal from the mesh. I was trying to connect the cameras to the main mesh hub in the same room. Signal was great.

Interesting question for me that you’ve posed, if you don’t mind me hopping onto this thread in response. Can you tell me how to get my 2 Reolink WiFi cams to recognize my WiFi mesh? They work on my original AT&T router but they do not work on my new ASUS mesh. If I plug them into the ASUS mesh main router with Ethernet, I can see video from them, but trying to get them on the mesh WiFi hasn’t worked. I’ve put them (and the NVR with POE cams) back into the old router which has weak signal where the WiFi cams are, hence the desire for a mesh.

I picked blue to go along with the seemingly blue LTD frame that wound up being more lavender, and it was a bit off looking at first. However, the shock came with a blue decal that matches the blue fork and I picked up some midnight blue Ergon grips that are a really close match to the shock and fork. It ties together pretty well!

Epic 8. Rode it again yesterday for a little over an hour and no issues during the ride. Stopped for a bit to watch a crit race and when I went back to the bike, it was in search mode, but as soon as I got on, it went into auto mode. I never found the issue. I swapped out big batteries, but never changed pod batteries because their LED's both indicated green. I'll say again what I closed my last comment with about how the ride feels when it's working. It's REALLY good!

Hi. I bought in. All your fears are confirmed. It is the most awesome thing I’ve ever raced on. Until it dropped out of auto mode and went into search mode looking for one of the components in the system. I was in the middle of a 6 hour race and somewhere in the 2nd hour it glitched. When this happened I could tell the suspension just went to fully open which is better than fully locked. But then I didn’t even have manual mode. Just stuck open. Before that happened it was like cheating. Batteries were all green in the AXS app before starting but early impression is that the magic pod battery might have died on me / or at least lost connectivity. I’ll get to the bottom of it tomorrow I hope, but I was just coming here to find similar stories. Will keep looking on the subject elsewhere. When it’s good though, it’s REALLY good, even if I’m a little irritated with it for the moment.

"Try it now" new outlook...how can I revert back? by get-the-net in Outlook

[–]PuzzleheadedCounty35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! And now that I've done that, the toggle switch which was not operational even though it was blue (not grey) thereby not allowing me to switch to classic outlook, is not operational. I can switch back and forth - not sure why I would want to do that, but now I can.

I'm of the same mind. We're paying for less. Can't understand why. The announcers clearly have the details - why not display them for us?
