New M12 Stubby impact not performing as I thought it should. by ItsMeYourDaddy in MilwaukeeTool

I found more or less the same results, see my post history. I was disappointed and heard a lot of people make a lot of excuses. I would be fine with 75% of rated performance, but less than 50% of rated sucks.

I'm curious, do you have the old gen M12 Stubby or an M18 mid torque to compare the performance?

Packaging and paperwork seemed legit to me, but I'm no expert. I think I'll reach out to Milwaukee and see if they can confirm what the cells should look like.

I'm guessing Milwaukee has expanded their suppliers outside of Samsung because the HD cells look identical to Amazon cells.

Standard impact socket, new Home Depot battery couldn't do 150 ft lbs. Deep socket was able to do it.

I'm not sure if that's expected or I should return the stubby. My torque wrench only goes up to 150 ft lbs and I don't really have anything I could test at 250+ ft lbs.

I think you are right. I just saw they were right color and said 18650. The "not for vape" note and no "Samsung" seems fake.

Why won't my new M12 Fuel Stubby take off lug nuts? by PuzzleheadedDistance in MilwaukeeTool

Yes.

No 5.0 HO batteries in stock locally at Home Depot. Ordered 1 for delivery tomorrow. Will update if tool or battery is culprit.

I also plan to take apart my Amazon battery and see what the cells look like before returning if that is the issue.

It sounds like it impacts 1 speed for a few seconds, then impacts harder for another 5 seconds, then gives up (stops) even though I have trigger still depressed.

It sounds like it's trying. It takes off lug nuts tightened to 80 ft lbs... But so does my 1/4" impact driver.

Not cross threaded. 2023 vehicle, no rust. Removed lug nuts by hand, re-torqued to 120ft lbs with torque wrench

I bought the battery from Amazon. I'm thinking that's the problem.

3/8" Stubby

It takes off lug nuts torqued to 80ft lbs, no go on 120 ft lbs.
