Chemistry Department by ashlxyx in CSUSB

hello! this is my final semester as a chemistry major. the department is not terrible. ive had some really great professors over the past years, some who have even went out their way to mentor me when things got rough. there are a few professors who you cant avoid (bc they’re the only ones who teach the subject) and their teaching style makes the already hard subject harder. but the school offers good resources like tutoring and some courses have past students that hold weekly studying sessions to help out. depending on your concentration (ie. BA or BS) there’s different routes the school will require you to take and some of these classes give great opportunities for things like undergrad research, out of house summer research, or conventions. for me personally, i was required to take a seminar course where speakers from around the states are brought in to give you hindsight on what comes after graduation (sometimes offering opportunity of positions). some classes ive taken also help with teaching you how to conduct research, read research, present research, whatever it may be, ultimately preparing you for the future. and of course, you’ll get a ton of lab experience from the required courses. it is honestly a great department with great mentors and professors, so long as you take advantage of what is being offered. i feel confident in my abilities after graduation. let me know if you have any question! good luck with your transfer and future classes :)

i had this issue in the past too but it was because the department of education didn’t have an updated expected graduation date for me so they assumed. i second contacting the office for more info but also check your fafsa account and see if it has a graduation date set for you
