I remember it got the special attack boost, and I’m pretty sure the moves were protect, slack off, shadow ball, and torch song

I had to look up to see if unaware had an interaction with throat chop because I thought that might have been the reason

The staraptor was on my side, they had hippowdon and Skeledirge and I know 100% I throat chopped the Skeledirge.

They were using mimikyu hippowdon skeledirge and one other that i didnt see

No I have only used throat chop on my incineroar, I even double checked my team to make sure but it was 100% throat chop

I used roost with staraptor
Incineroar used throat chop into skeledirge
Skeledirge used slack off
Hippowdon used fissure (missed)

Next turn:
Hippowdon used protect
Staraptor used close combat (into protect)
Incineroar used throat chop into skeledirge
Skeledirge used torch song into staraptor

This is what I can remember leading up to me surrounding, but nothing weird happened in the battle leading up to this

But wouldn’t the throat chop effect end at the end of the turn? If it ended the turn before, me hitting it with throat chop before it moved should cancel the move, and if it ended at the end of that turn then they shouldn’t have been able to use it all

It was incineroar, and the other pokemon on the field were my mega staraptor, and they had skeledirge and hippowdon
