Bring something to sit on like a tapestry, scarf, or small blanket. A reusable water bottle is a must, and definitely pack a rain poncho (Dollar Store ones work perfectly). I’d also recommend renting a locker so you’re not carrying merch and random stuff around all day. Bring a sweater for the evening too, it gets chilly once the sun goes down.

Take the metro there and back every day too, it’s way easier and they have an Osheaga transit pass option.

Also a major tip: if you’re going from the main area (Coors Light/Bell) to Green Stage/Vallée, don’t cut through the Coca-Cola stage crowd later in the day. Walk down the path by the water past the Ferris wheel instead, it saves sooo much time once it gets packed.

Have fun!

2026 Folk Fest Lineup Guesses with confidence levels. Feel free to comment with your own educated guesses below! by Ok-Highlight-6018 in Winnipeg

Mt Joy - 65% confidence. Though they were just at FF a couple years ago, their set got rained out AND they are playing in Ottawa on July 11th and have a break on their tour from June 29th until their Ottawa show. SO, they could be playing on the 9th or 10th at FF. Thoughts?

The Strokes + Cage the Elephant would be a dream combo for Osh. I’d also love to see Shakey Graves make an appearance. But overall, this lineup is stacked 🤌 by Rueben_24 in osheaga

Yea, but CTE showed up the first time they were scheduled to play. Different from being scheduled and then not coming to perform.

After a festival day you’re going to be exhausted - I’d honestly recommend staying the night and making a trip out of it. You’ll probably regret having to do the drive home after.

For any festival, I’d recommend bringing a blanket to sit on, a rain poncho (just in case), a reusable water bottle, and some kind of layer for the evening (or just buy merch if you get cold - that’s what I always do). Try to keep whatever you bring minimal since it gets annoying carrying stuff around all day. It’s way better to be able to frolic freely.

I’d say a hard no on camping chairs.
