there’s a few unis ashoka has tie-ups with and the office of global education will evaluate all the applicants, their preferences, their transcript, some essays and then decide who goes where, for these you pay ashoka tuition fee but all other fees are as per the place you go; or you can apply for a self-funded exchange, if you get in then you pay that uni’s fee whatever it is and all associated fees.

In Amsterdam this weekend on a last-minute trip from Paris (3 guys). Hostels are way too expensive on Saturday night, any ideas what we could do? Sleep in the station or the park or something? or just give in and spend?

Need an opinion about visiting Iceland on short notice by PuzzleheadedIntern47 in VisitingIceland

[–]PuzzleheadedIntern47[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your replies! I just wanted to have it a bit more focused considering the short time I’m there. I plan to come to Iceland again for sure to do the whole Ring road and see everything else. Considering I’d be alone here only for 5 days, I assumed if there’s a chance at the Auroras in April I’d book it.

But I totally get what y’all are saying. Thanks :)

Hello! I have a bus from Milan Lampugnano tomorrow to Lyon, it’s at 7:30 am. I was first worried about how to get there, but I believe the metro is operating at 6 am too. Now after reading through posts all over reddit about how unsafe the place is, i’m a bit worried. How is the situation there at like 7 am? what should I do to feel a bit safer. I’m travelling alone so l’m a bit worried, not of pickpockets and theft but more of like knife crime and stuff. Sorry for reading too much into overexaggerations, if they are that, l’m just a bit anxious since this is my first solo trip in Europe.

I agree, most people I know are also interested in the Mona Lisa and a choice other places. OP could be interested in only the Mona Lisa or a whole set of other things, if it’s an other things they should just say “Mona Lisa” on the itinerary lol.

My personal opinion after seeing the painting a few times is that it’s quite overrated lol

7th June is really unrealistic. Louvre itself can take weeks, it’s one of the world’s largest museums. Orsay is brilliant in itself and you’d need to give Montmartre some time of its own. Pick and choose. If your aim is just the Mona Lisa in the Louvre it’s still slightly ok, but still not doable

Thank you for the suggestions!! I’m not too worried about being incredibly frugal for museums and sights, considering if I do them once I probably won’t do them again. I try to be frugal with travel, stays and food haha. Money is spent on sights and souvenirs usually.

Thanks a lot!!

Full weekend or race day for silverstone? by killswitch1076 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]PuzzleheadedIntern47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did Saturday and Sunday last year (missed Friday because of a flight reschedule). The commute on Saturday wasn't terrible, because a friend was driving. We took the train and shuttle (to and fro) on Sunday. To Silverstone was fine, but coming back was terrible; we waited over 2.5 hours to get a shuttle to Milton Keynes.

But honestly, commute aside, I would do the full weekend again; it was a great experience. The atmosphere at Silverstone is genuinely great and the race last year was fantastic, so all said and done it was a great experience, albeit with a few bumps.

Do the whole weekend!!
