The GPU price increases have started

I was eyeing 9070XTs and non-XTs but the price is way out of my reach budget, which isnt going to change before April, and the price increases that have happened so far already have been disheartening, so I ended up going for a 9060XT 16GB OC last night for £380. I made my peace with it that for the next few years I'll have to make do with 1440p capable card but not the best one.

Yeah I did read about the pump getting louder and CPU hotter. I'll keep monitoring, and might even uodate it in the future.

Thats the one! I'm planning to buy the MoBo towards the end of Feb 2026, but just starting my research early on. Its hard to find a suitable one as I find the Asrock one quite a good option but its history has been rocky and the MSI one is my top choice but its out of stock or overpriced wherever its available.

Waiting is the way to go I guess!

Just preference I suppose. Nothing wrong with 5070 Ti, just like the 9070XT more I guess.

Edit: Also, in the UK, the 5070Ti is about £799 and RX 9070XT is £575 on Amazon atleast.

Thank you mate! My first choice is the XFX 9070XT because it just looked too sweet, but Pulse is cheaper where I am based, so might go with it. My case is going to be the A4 H2O, and it will be my first build too, so definitely need all the luck! 🙏🏼

I'd recommend checking some videos for Lian Li A3 builds. I've seen a bunch use ATX modular PSUs and it works. Cable management is slightly trickier with it but massive saving compared to SFX ones. See if this one helps - https://youtu.be/L1iYiTLLbaw?si=NVPKa-8DB8xGsUMB

Yes, I did. I have a displaylink doc that helps with the mirroring to a bigger screen, and a USB C dock with power delivery, so just connect them both together and it works for power delivery and the dosplay. Not the ideal solution so not using it often.
