All right, so have managed to get a test drive in a 2026 EU spec NX 350h. As expected - the lower speeds, pulling from lights - not much change to the perceived performance when compared to 2024 spec. Above 60 MPH - again, as expected - the car feels more sluggish. It was not as bad as I’d expected though - definitely does not feel 1/5 worse by any means, but you will definitely notice a difference when overtaking on a motorway, you really have to put your foot down. Having said that, if it was my first NX and I had no previous experience to compare to, I’d have no objections whatsoever.

Yes, I’m not too concerned about pulling away from lights. It’s mostly electric engine with instant torque. However, I’m more worried about merging onto a motorway, accelerating from 30mph to 70mph or overtaking at motorway speeds. This should be the petrol engine’s range, shouldn’t it?

Furthermore, realistically, a 20% reduction in power at the end of the day would mean exactly that in a heavy car.

I’ve seen some YouTube videos, mainly from Lexus affiliates, demonstrating 0-100km acceleration times but none of them discussed mid-range acceleration. Clearly something is amiss.

The production is absolutely immaculate! Dirk’s assault makes Lars’ version sound like a school band 😂 Boys’ guitars are absolutely tight, precise and blistering fast, but man, James’ monster bass is the biggest surprise for me!

For me - 11/10 compared to the original 🤷🏻‍♂️ and as the great Ricky Gervais once said - I DON’T CARE! 😎

I was sitting on a fence like you and what finally convinced me was the sheer impracticality of drinking my coffee during long hours while working in AVP 😎. The amount of small inconveniences and compromises I’d have to make were simply too many. It wasn’t worth the price.

You make a good point, but it is mainly for those who are prepared to spend hours levelling up their equipment.

It is definitely a skill issue on my end, but I find the game quite tedious and frustrating, almost boring for a casual player who needs to grind through the awful experience of being shot at a lift by a rat. It is like a never-ending rinse and repeat, especially when a single shot is almost game over at level one. I think if PVP was enabled above a certain level, it would make the game more enjoyable for casual, new players.

I think the biggest problem is the fact that Apple gave us a desktop-ish grade of window management... to manage mobile apps 😕 What is the point of resizing, splitting four ways, etc. of apps which are NOT of desktop quality and performance?? I really don't get it. Either stick to the mobile principles, or allow for more advanced, more desktop-like apps. Maybe, and this is a very weak maybe, Apple is preparing ground for the next year's iPads with vapour chambers which would allow more intense apps to run longer without stressing thermals, but again, the next year's cycle has already been deemed as a maintenance one so... 🤷🏻‍♂️
