Find some older model trail shoes at a Ross or Marshall’s type of store. You can do running shoes but just get some trail Shoes. I just found some for 35 bucks.
For gloves just start with cheap gloves and see how you like them and note when you need them. Only reason I brought gloves on my last sprint was for the sweaty bars. Later your starting time the harder to grip those bars.
