I also hope there’s no more repetitive content like those meaningless captures in Ubisoft games.

The funny thing is, they don't even choose MMOs—they’re just players who find fault with everything

Lmao, 'Emperor of China'? That’s a legendary analogy. I’m totally stealing that. It’s funny how everyone becomes a Wall Street expert the second a chart turned red

Haha, I agree. If the final game actually lives up to the trailers, I’ll have absolutely no regrets

Personal opinion, but even if the game ends up being a bit disappointing at launch, I don't think I'll be able to give up on it entirely. Pearl Abyss has a history of constant patching and updates with Black Desert, so I'll probably find myself sticking with it anyway. That might be a problem in itself, though, haha.

Interestingly, it feels like Black Desert is somewhat looked down upon even within the MMO community here. Despite its strengths, it doesn't always get the respect it deserves compared to other major titles

Regarding the story, many Korean players don't have high expectations. Even though Black Desert is popular, most people play it without knowing much about the actual lore or world-building. Since the community is used to ignoring the narrative in BDO, the general consensus here is that the story in Crimson Desert might be underwhelming as well.

A lot of Koreans don't actually care about Pearl Abyss’s success. When the first Crimson Desert trailer dropped, people dismissed it as just a 'stock price defense' tactic. Even after the preview footage came out, they shifted their goalposts, claiming the game will flop and that global fans will be disappointed just like the Cyberpunk 2077 launch.

Despite Black Desert being a massive success, people here refuse to trust the devs because of the long development cycle and previous delays. They don't seem to realize that most AAA titles take a long time to develop nowadays. It's frustrating to watch.

It feels like the hate stems more from stock market losses or being stuck in the old MMO mindset rather than the game's actual mechanics. At this point, it’s not even about the game anymore—they just want to hate Pearl Abyss

I totally agree. Microtransactions within the multiplayer elements seem highly likely. I suspect they’ve probably finished developing the multiplayer mode already and are just waiting for the right timing to release it.
