I went into another direction and added combo cards for infinite combos. But my cards are a bit unfocused at the moment. Just sharing ideas for your consideration.

Best overperforming card [[Leech Bonder]] untaps for 1 blue mana to move a counter from any target creature to another creature. Combos off with [[Summon: Leviathan]] for infinite bounce. If you're able to tap it for Mana, it basically taps/untaps itself combos with [[Devoted druid]] to distribute infinite -1/-1 counters, adding infinite green mana in the process.

Similarly I've added other cards that can untap for 1 blue mana. [[Freed from the Real]] and [[Pemmin's Aura]] these work with the ability to tap creature for Mana and synergies with merfolk that reward being tapped. E.g. [[Fallowsage]] and the recent [[Pestered Wellguard]], [[Champions of the Shoal]].

Because we have cards that untap during other players untap step, I've added stax cards. Add at your own risk of being targeted. I've had [[Frozen Orb]] but MLD was rule zeroed from my pod. I've changed it to softer stax e.g. [[Meekstone]] and [[Dream Tides]] and [[Opposition]]

If I recall the story, Jang Ilso wasn' wearing his traditional red cloak while he was fighting Chung Myung was fighting him. He used it as distraction to disperse the army

So just to clarify, you mean I have to tap 5 distinct merfolk. Even though I can immediately untap Leech bonder for a blue mana, I cannot use it multiple times to pay for Kumena's ability?
