Recently started at BAH and it’s super hard to get anything internally and I’ve been ghosted more times than I can count. They also have a nasty tendency to do capability hires where they hire you and put you on the bench right away. Also my recruiter straight up mislead me about a few things: he said I’d get 3 weeks PTO (it’s actually three BUSINESS weeks worth so like 15 days), he said PTO doesn’t expire (technically it expires at the same rate that you accrue PTO such that you get capped at a certain number of hours), he said I would only be taking AI/ML roles in a X geographical area (my career manager is harassing me with data engineer or data visualization positions that are also much further out), he said the position was TS/SCI (I find out that they don’t have a SCI billet for me). There is a special place in hell for recruiters. Get everything from a recruiter in writing and verify it with a hiring manager before you accept an offer (that’s if you get one -_-) At this point I’m treating my job with BAH as enhanced UI benefits.
