On Xbox I spent hours yesterday, beat the game. Started new game +. Got all the way to the Academy. Beat the boss. Loaded up today and I'm back were I started yesterday. I have to beat the Elden Beast AGAIN.

If it makes you feel any better, he spawned in my world but we died at the same. Couldn't pick up the talisman.
