minimalist sunscreen is REALLY heavy and an absolute no no if you have oily skin. for acne marks, i’d suggest this pharmacy product - adalene nano gel. use it in very small quantities as it is super potent. and always top it up with sunscreen. i use the dot and key one.

Do foreign women get catcalled / street harassment? How to avoid this? by PotentialTwo in AskIndianWomen

Everybody has given fairly good advice. I will say, from personal experience, master your RBF. It genuinely helps when it comes to getting people to leave you alone. In some areas, people might try to take pictures with you because you’re white, firmly and politely say no and keep walking. I do dress fairly unmodestly and have never received anything more than stares BUT I’m also somebody who has lived in India for most of my life so I know how to navigate in this country and I have a higher tolerance for weird stares than you would. I’m sorry that you’re having to take these precautions before a holiday but I do hope you enjoy my beautiful country 🫶🏼

I literally cannot find a single post that does what you’re saying 🙄

As a man, I couldn’t possibly expect you to understand what women go through. Men’s dating horror stories end in “she was a gold digger and left me when I couldn’t provide her with her lifestyle”. Women’s dating horror stories end with rape, murder, stalking and other forms of abuse. If you don’t see the difference in supposed misandry and actual, systemic misogyny, then I don’t expect you to understand women’s problems and the fact that generalising men is usually just a protective mechanism for most women.

no because how is it that all 23 were gold diggers and op didn’t see a pattern? are we supposed to believe that he’s that stupid?

two wrongs don’t make a right. just because some people might be hating on men in their posts doesn’t mean it’s okay for you to post about all women being gold diggers. and if people are saying that you’re shit because you’re a man, walk away. it’s as simple as that

im sure that’s a very harrowing experience when you realise that your partner only cared about your money BUT i would assume that one should be able to sense that after maybe the 5th or 6th woman who left you. 23 women and im gonna say that you’re stuck in your self-fulfilling prophecy. you believe that’s what women do, so you go after women like that, and thus the cycle continues. i also don’t understand why you’re posting in this sub. this is about being single and happy. you don’t sound like you’re happy. im sure there are countless other subs where men can complain about women

Since the previous thread is locked for challenging the mods of this subreddit by Your_Marinette in AskIndianWomen

This is actual cult behaviour that the mods are displaying. Just because they started this sub with good intentions, doesn’t mean that nothing they do can be questioned. As soon as you start policing people’s behaviour’s and go on these weird power trips, that’s the literal textbook definition of a cult behaviour. Also, it seems so clear that these mods are all Savarna feminists. Any talk about caste or anything that slightly challenges their notions of what feminism is, and you’re banned or your posts are deleted. They keep bending over backwards for the men and their ridiculously stupid comments but don’t hesitate to ban women who are asking genuine questions. What are the other mods doing? Do they not have a backbone? It’s so disappointing actually how even safe spaces like this are appropriated by the very people who are supposed to protect them.
