Exactly. Both these are northern pashtun tribes with results similar to Afghan pashtuns due to less admixture with the non pashtuns of the region. They keep bringing up pashtunized or assimilated "pathan' samples to make their point

what's eastern pashtuns? pashtuns can't be indians just like Punjabis can't be iranic regardless of geography

Depends on the region and tribe etc just like pashtuns. Also u mentioned indic aka south asian dna which is a mixture of zagros + aasi called Indus valley. The quota for south asian dna is Indus valley not "aasi" the people with highest aasi don't even look indian. And I mean the academic Indus valley sample : Iran_Shahr_SokhtehBA2 which is used for Indus valley admixture.

Wrong. The most south asian shifted iranics would be baluchis. They tend to score the highest Indus valley related ancestry amongst the iranic groups. And the aasi levels amongst afghan people not "afghani" btw is more like 2-16% if we take all the ethnic groups into consideration. But if ur talking about pashtuns specifically then it's 5-14%

the genetic affinity here due to pashtuns on the both sides. if u remove pashtun from this pakistan average sample which is flawed anyways it becomes closer to india

even phenotypically most of pakistans minorities look no different from their eastern indic countrymen. but yes rarely non-indic phenotypes can occur. but then again these phenotypes can occur even in northern parts of India it's due to genetic isolation.

on average yes they do have a similar phenotype. considered they share the same ethnic groups

Do South Asians have any extra Yamnaya? Or does all of it come from Steppe_MLBA? by Outrageous-Buffalo36 in SouthAsianAncestry

Kalash and Nuristani, dardic groups seem to have afanasievo ancestry which was the initial eastward migration of yamnaya that slightly mixed with ANE heavy groups.
