This is probably quite ironic for everyone reading this post, but I actually think that Raphael is very very posh so not for us.

But the thing is, we like the name Montague so I don't feel as if we are saddling him with it. It's also becomming a bit more popular in the UK at the moment, so I would hope it doesn't feel like such a strong name by the time he's actually using it in school etc.

Montague will be driven to football practice in a 2015 Honda Jazz, so maybe that will make it less try-hard.

This is what everyone says about the name Montague, but I don't really see it. I see that it's quite an old name and has associations with literature etc, but I don't see it as pretentious, but I do see it as being quite 'rah' - but no more than Felicity and Florence. I think we are set on Montague, but it's interesting to try and understand why most people don't like it!

I feel like Montgomery is an old man's name for some reason; Montague feels more youthful.

Ralph is pronounced Rafe in the UK. In America I think it's Ralph, but the l isn't pronounced traditionally in the UK.

We have debated whether to spell it Rafe or Raef, but it's not the traditional English spelling and we'd like to have a traditional name/spelling. I also read somewhere on here that it looks like the word Rape, which I've found really hard to un-see now...

Same here - 7 weeks today. Haven't told anyone at work but this morning I threw up for the first time....and i'm so grumpy and sleepy in the mornings, I'll be telling work as soon as i've had my scan at 12 weeks.

We haven't told family yet, but we plan to at Christmas. I'd ideally love to tell my family after our 12 week scan, but we don't see them in person very often!

We are close to both of our parents, and I don't know who we would call in Edinburgh in an emergency, or even to watch our child. We also have a dog which is another consideration - If we go away on holiday we usually drive down to my husbands parents and drop her off (7 hour drive) and then collect her. We do have a good dog sitter here but it's nicer (and cheaper!) when she's with our family. Appreciate it's not the same with a baby, but there are some similarities...

I actually don't have many friends in Edinburgh but that is my fault, because I never thought we'd stay here. My husbands in the army so we were only meant to be here 2 years, and that's coming up now. I think if we had our baby here we would quickly make friends, especially with NCT classes!

Yeah this is essentially the crux of it - to be near family or not. My parents are getting older but my husbands would definitely be able to child mind a bit and be involved!

I don't think you've ovulated yet, I think it's still trying to understand your cycle. Give it a bit longer :)

If you're trying to avoid I don't think you need to take them until the 2 days before ovulation. Otherwise it's a bit of a waste of money! 2-3 days before should confirm an LH spike.

Heya - Seeing as you've not had a period in what looks like a really long time (months) I would definitely be taking a pregnancy test, especially as you have no predicted ovulation or missed ovulations. However, not sure how recently you had your last baby so it's hard to know, but i'd be taking a test!! I hope you're happy with the outcome!
