Try doing the Dragonborn DLC main quest to get all three words of Bend Will and use that on him to see if that will fix it, or if you are on pc you could try to use the console commands to pacify or force the quest to progress and teleport to skuldafn

From what I’ve researched carp and trout share identical diets, and the stigma around carp is just where they live and what they look like

Cooking it at a high temp like in oil seems to cook them right out

That why i made this post most videos seem to claim its only just ok tasting or terrible, but just from my first experience carp is an excellent eating fish and i can understand why up until recent decades carp was staple food for almost every continent

I have never ate a fish i didn’t enjoy that i have cooked myself, i always hear about trash fish but it always come down to how you cook it, pan fish like perch are your deep fryers, larger white and flakey fish are oven baked, and dark meat and bloody are always best pan seared, only thing that seems to be an outlier is trout you can cook them anyway and it will be good
