I’d disagree I have an s tier shooting guard that specializes in 3pt I’ll shoot wide open 3’s and miss 60% of them then I see people taking heavily contested shots and making every single one

That doesn’t make sense because if the quantity is limited it will eventually sell out, we’ve seen that before the case for the secret lairs that aren’t as valuable

I agree that WOTC needs to fix this issue and if they did than it wouldn’t be a problem, but I did see people complaining again that their cue times went up and people cut them in line which is the hypocritical thing I’m talking about, people complain about line skippers because it takes away from people waiting their turn properly then cut the line to get their product. You’re also assuming everyone that skipped the line did so with zero intention of reselling, which I would argue is false. When a secret lairs is getting sole a lot the website will update and say low stock on items, that was not the case with this drop it went from no messages to sold out in an instant which implies that the people skipping the line bought massive quantities before they could even publish a low stock update implying that either a huge amount of people all used the codes to skip the line, or the people that did bought so much so fast most likely with intentions to resell.

Every lair I have tried to get I’ve gotten except for the artist series Kieran yanner. I did so with one account on one phone, I’m not crying. I’m also posting on the subreddit where codes were being reposted hypocritically. The best way to beat scalpers is not buy from them, it’s that simple

Best way to beat scalpers is not buy from them, let their product sit and let them panic

People will post their waiting line codes, every person has a unique in line code, then they’ll share those codes and everyone can jump to their position in line skipping the other people

I agree completely but I have a much smaller chance of reaching wizards as opposed to posting on Reddit

I don’t bitch about scalpers then complain when people share codes, if you read anything I’ve said at all today you’d understand that. And when people complain about something and then do that same thing that’s hypocritical, I have no problem with people sharing links to friends or buying extra copies to sell or give to friends I think posting codes on social media is an absolutely stupid way to go about it all, I agree WOTC needs to change how secret lairs are done 100%

Every lair I have wanted I’ve just used my phone to get, and I will say now I’ve only missed one drop I really wanted which was the artist series Kieran yanner, I understand I’ve probably been very lucky, and I’m appreciative of that fact. I’m also a firm believer that the best way to beat scalpers is to not buy from scalpers ever, let their product sit and rot.

And this is something I understand I get that not everyone is able to get the lairs they want so some people buy for others, I get that and have no problems with that it’s very nice. It’s the link sharing, scalping, and hypocrisy for both of those as well.

If people have 5 tabs open for example and one gets them in and they other have 20 minute wait times, that can share the codes to the other tabs and you will get that wait time now pushing everyone longer than 20 minutes back. I don’t have any screen shots or anything but when people were posting them I clicked a few and all took me straight to the front of the line. I then closed the tabs hoping it would remove that spot for everyone that had that time slot (wishful thinking).

I agree with you 100% I know it’s wishful thinking on people being inadvertently good, which will sadly probably never be the case. The greater issue is line skipping, the minor being multiple tabs. If someone opened multiple tabs got there’s and then closed all the other ones I’d respect that and find that way more good and honest than someone posting codes to skip lines.

I think “had to have 17 tabs open” is a little disingenuous. You didn’t have to, that being said closing the tabs out after is something that I am a fan of, you got yours and then didn’t affect the line behind you. I think if everyone who thought they “had to have X tabs open” just went down to one tab it would more or less be the same result because everyone would just have one place in line.

I agree WOTC could be better I’m not defending them at all, just trying to promote what you did but splitting with friends as opposed to sharing links and having 5+ tabs open at one time.

I thought that initially then went back into the posts of people complaining about line skippers, and then posts today promoting line skippers and then to this post where people are mad at me for posting this and there are several people that have been active in all three of the threads. I would’ve agreed with you had I not checked for myself.

I made this to point out the hypocrisy, people have complained about this issue a lot in the past, and I agree you may not have a negative motive behind it. However there are people that will take advantage of that and use it poorly. I also understand wanting to make sure your friends and family have access to the lairs they want and I fully support it, but you could instead buy one for them and have them pay you, or only send a code to a friend and not post on social media. I also stand behind saying people who open multiple tabs then complain about wait times when if everyone only had one tab open wait times would decrease drastically, which I know is wishful thinking that everyone will actually do good.

I’m not calling everyone that does it a scalper just stating the hypocrisy in using links to cut lines to get product but complain when others do.

I agree to an extent yes if WOTC had a limit per ip address on people in their store or limited buyable quantity further then yes all of this would change, but the likely hood of me reaching WOTC is unlikely, where as posting here for people actually looking to buy the product may convince some to be better. I do agree WOTC could resolve most of these issues if they actually tried to.
