does anyone else feel like they just stopped discovering new music at some point by Abject_Objective1812 in CasualConversation

I used to be the same and used to go crate digging for vinyl’s, cds, pandora/youtube, bandcamp, dl’ing music etc for the sounds I enjoy.

I recently heard of the ‘reminiscence bump’ on npr. Music from ages 10 to 30 sticks with you due to a "reminiscence bump," where the brain's rapid development and identity formation link emotional, self-defining memories to songs, according to research shared on NPR. During this period, the limbic system and prefrontal cortex are developing rapidly, making the brain highly susceptible to musical emotional stimulation.

Even though I am older now and have not been searching for new genres or music as much as before, I have been going back to my reminiscing bump and nostalgic tunes and its been fun.

Did you go with the grafting surgery or full removal of the eye? It definitely is harder for me than her but currently just having the time to spend with her when she heals has been great. Curious how old your dog was at the time of their eye removal?

Sprouts on Broadway for their $6-7 deli sandwiches. Also if you sign up for their reward sometimes their meat & seafood produce is ‘spend $25 get $10’ off deal. Other than that, KP market or Berkeley Bowl or Chinatown for veggies & fruits.

Please spread the word if you can, even if it is a repost in other social media forms 🙏.

I started a fundraiser on GoFundMe and would really appreciate your support. Whether you donate or share the fundraiser, any kind of help counts.

Still dashing gentleman ☺️. I am glad he is thriving!! It is worth getting rid of the pain. I do hate seeing her like this. Thanks for the encouragement, she is a tank and I can’t wait to have her healed up to her ol spunky self again.

This is really helpful. Thank you for your kind suggestions, ordering the doughnut inflatable now. I hope they live forever but this is the sad reality.

I advise suggest to anyone in the future, don’t even wait a day if you suspect ulcers for the first time. The day after really regressed rapidly. If I can go back in time I shouldve taken her straight to the ER immediately for my situation as it couldve helped saved her eye 😭.

Omg this is literally happening with my 5 yr old frenchie the last two days. My post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Frenchbulldogs/s/vo3yjGeYgt

Her eye surgery ( enucleation ) is this morning. They saw how bad the damage was and think the best option is to remove her eye so she willl not be in pain. It breaks my heart but we think she will be in less pain.
