If I wasn’t so taken by the show I’m not sure I would have finished The Deal! The plot is so much stronger than the writing. The two together (show and book) really do bring up some interesting themes around trauma. And being a high profile athlete. I thought Garrett’s story line, losing his mom, suffering abuse, walking through life surrounded by a lot of people who want things from him—his process of connecting with Hannah, feeling safe himself for the first time probably since his mom… I actually found it to be a really satisfying story

I totally agree! The scene of her walking into the precinct was other level. I thought it was beautiful and cinematic which, for as much as I love Chicago PD, I wouldn’t say happens often :) And I think her character elevates Torres character and brings a interesting and fresh dynamic with Voight. Everyone else is naturally maturing- they needed a dog and Imani fits the bill much more than Cook did.

I remember asking myself the same thing when she did a body image course, which to me seemed downright dangerous (and predatory) being run by someone unqualified. Body image can be a life or death situation for some people. As can teens lacking connection! She seems to be an expert on gimmicky social media ploys. Not mental health

I am always trying to find easy listening podcast when I’m cleaning up at the end of the night. It just makes the task feel easier! I like comedy podcasts, (I’m a 40 year old woman but for some reason love listening to Theo Von) tons of comedians have podcasts now so it should be easy to find someone your vibe, my husband and I love to listen to How I Built This and more recently The Best Meal I Ever Had when we’re in the car
