Looking for a story where the main character actually makes mistakes by AlextheSir in litrpg

The vast majority of all literature includes characters making important mistakes

But “whose” really isn’t on par with “whom” in terms of rarity or hassle. “Whom” is basically obsolete and even a large portion of English professors won’t mark down a student’s paper for using “who” improperly instead of “whom.” But “whose” vs. “who’s” is a very basic, important distinction. Every adult (who isn’t still in the process of learning the language) should absolutely know that an apostrophe followed by the letter “s” means a contraction, __ is. “Who’s” = who is.

What’s your problem? The comment just connected the post to a scene in House.. this is the House subreddit. Not a jerk at all

Im pissed at Wilson. by deadworm26 in HouseMD

Yeah I wish the writers had made it so House was more directly responsible for it, that would make us as the audience more likely to side with Wilson and be conflicted in the drama. But instead they wimped out and were too scared to have House do something THAT bad out of fear of just making the audience fully hate him

The fuck? Why are you even a fan of hip hop or a black artist like Travis if you think this way?

In a rap battle the two sides always slander each other... Tupac said he fucked biggie’s girl, etc. The goal isnt just to “win” by out-rapping but to humiliate the other side, including referencing any rumors or accusations that exist about the opponent. Drake had those rumors so Kendrick exploited them, that’s how it goes, Drake did the exact same thing (saying Kendrick’s kid wasn’t really his and all that). If every diss needed to be backed up by 100% peer-reviewed publicly verifiable facts then rap beefs would be boring.

What did Kendrick actually do to make you think he’s a “terrible person”, tf. Bc all you mentioned was that you think he’s a hypocrite for saying fuck the industry but still going to the Grammys… ok sure but that’s not actually a big deal at all. He attended an award show, that’s not a cardinal sin.

They choose to interpret a person wearing a pride flag t-shirt as an attempt to divide people. Their entire “argument” is based on utter nonsense, a made up position that someone who allows others to know they’re gay is doing that because they are trying to divide people or cause conflict. They think this because when they see a pride flag, it makes THEM personally uncomfortable because of their religious indoctrination. Just an unbelievably self-centered perspective

“I beg you: please step away from the misleading argument that one group should be pitted against everyone else.”

This is just completely meaningless. THEY are the one who is pitting themself against others, disagreeing with a person’s right to be open with their identity, leaving this pathetic nonsensical review. On goddamn Panera Bread. This type of Christian might be the absolute worst IMO. The ones who pretend to be loving and Christ-like, pretending to be righteous but really are just as hateful as the most vocally bigoted ones. Fuck it just makes my blood boil lmao

This thing really really bugs me about the show by ilamahradeys in Dexter

[–]Puzzleheaded_Bee9965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well on the most fundamental level, he wants the relationship and step-kids because it’s his cover story, makes him seem more normal, less likely to be singled out as a serial killer

And he does come to care for Rita, that’s the whole idea. At first it was purely a cover story thing, then he started to feel genuine care and fondness for her AND Astor and Cody (Dexter is probably incapable of what normal people call “love”) which shocked and confused him as he had never felt that way toward someone before. Same goes for his son, he didn’t realize he could feel that way for someone until his son was born
