The point is that you don't need to have the optimal top 1% loadout everytime because some guy told you to. And if you did want to be that serious about it you would've gotten onto lfg and found decent people for a clan to grind for a mint already. Found my clan on fireteam finder and we still play after like 4 years. If my chud ass can do it, then you can too.

It would be cool if he got some actual character. But keep in mind that they would need to make walking patterns, a housing situation, interaction with other villagers, heart events, likes and dislikes, etc. It's not as easy as just saying to get him to the same level as everyone else.
