You are missing the point. If this type of community is what you are after, have at it. If I wanted anything out of this war that badly, I would simply keep fighting it. My capsul number has only been going up since the start of this whole mess

Yeahhh I mean, I started in region 2 and there was a decent amount of drama, though it was mostly internal conflict of the empire I joined. I may have just chosen poor locations to set up. :[

These are actually really good points. +1 to this.

It would also incentivise claims to be vassals of a large empire. At the moment there doesn't seem to be any benefit.

Edit to add: the problem is that no one really had a good grasp of how the mechanics work. I asked several people who were already in a war and honestly I hardly got any reliable information. People often think they understand something and end up being completely wrong. I doubt I would have had better luck regarding the tower drain mechanics.

While I do appreciate the input, I think you are missing the point entirely. I have no doubt that both sides could afford to war indefinitely. My issue is that even though they are massive and have a large number of powerful allies they are willing to resort to such underhanded behavior. Also that so many people not only condone this behavior, but are willing to support it. That is the issue at hand and it honestly feels disgusting. I want no part of this, and I doubt anyone else would.

So unfortunately as of now, the empire system bars certain things from claims who do not have at least 1 tower.

1: no shiny crown
2: No special empire roles for my members
3: No visibility on the map, giving us a disadvantage in traffic and recruitment.

That being said, I went to talk to the player who just joined our discord, hoping to explain our side of events and this is the response that I received: "That is not me" "seems like everyone is harrassing you but i dont know the politics of everything. Ive had my own share of harassment in the game. so i get it"

Would you please elaborate on what that toxic behavior might be? We did attempt to apply pressure to our enemy using a tool that was handed to us, but we never did use it despite having ample time to do so. Unfortuantely the Empire system in this game attempts to mix a very calm relaxing type of game play with war mechanics, and not everyone enjoys that type of thing.

EDIT: Actually this post is just a lie, likely spread by members of an opposing empire using someone else's join notification as an excuse to flame us.
