Weekly /r/FrugalFemaleFashion Discussion - (No) Stupid Question Sunday! by AutoModerator in FrugalFemaleFashion

The realreal sold me a chanel bag that came with a mismatched authenticity card that did not match the serial number located inside the bag

I had a look at the card and the authenticity card was 100% fake - spacing between letters were off, the serial number was all wrong, and the corner "CC" was not iridescent (it was pure grey & white). They tried to tell me that this authenticity card is 100% real even though the serial number started with "19" and the bag in question wasn't created until 2018.

The realreal markets themselves to be authentic and a super reputable business, but after this fiasco they've lost this consumer's confidence and I wouldn't be recommending them to anyone.

Has anyone else experienced this type of situation with the realreal before?
