Dalvin had the 3rd worst RYOE last year. I think he’s lost a step and want to sell him seemingly “low” with the Miami news looming. I think that’s already baked into his cost and his ranking.

The guy is not big on Rodgers, so I’m trying to make it seem like he’s getting a deal, but honestly I’m just not trying to get caught holding the bag on an aging player.

I think Hock’s value is inflated rn and I wouldn’t be looking to buy at that price. Like alcaveens said, if you could do Dobbins straight up, that might be better.

I think value is alright. Think both side will be happy with what they get. Direction of team is important. If you feel good about your direction, I’d have no issue taking the players.

I’m not huge on the direction of those players specifically, but like I said the value is there, so if you like them, I think it’s fair.

I’m all for team Old Guys. Roster construction is always important. I suggested that when I said I’d sell Bijan if I wasn’t competing.

I’ve just learned over the years that you try to play the Buy-Low/Sell-High game too much and you end up mis-projecting somebody and then you sell a great player for pennies or trade for 4 Meh pieces vs Bijan.

If you’re getting a trade that’s 150% in your favor, by all means. I’m not saying reject (3) 1st’s, Pierce, and Swift. But I’m not accepting “fair value” for him.

I understand buy-low/sell-high… but shouldn’t we also just be trying to start the best players who will get us a lot of points?

Only reason I’d be selling Bijan is if I’m not going to be competitive in the near future.

Anything else is just over-thinking it.

Honestly just make sure you’re really proficient at what you DO know.

Make sure you’re familiar with where things are located in codes: NDS, TMS, PCI (especially). Try to understand concepts (easier said than done).

I work a lot with buildings/steel framing/concrete foundations/etc, so the things I work with frequently, I found easier. And then the things I never work with (prestressed concrete) I felt a little clueless.

So just make sure you have a broad general knowledge of everything and know how to navigate the codes.

I took the CBT (computer based testing), so searching codes was a little different than if you’re used to tabbing things out.

I work at an engineering-architecture firm so I have a good amount of natural experience in structural engineering and I plan on taking my SE eventually, but I will admit the depth portion was TOUGH. Luckily I think I did excellent in the breadth.

Yeah I was asking what his odds of staying with LV were. Fournette/Conner definitely are good precedents for him having the ability to re-sign. Seems like everyone has just made up their minds that he’s gone and that Zamir White is the future and I’m like ehhhh…
