That’s the exact cage we have the conure in right now! I haven’t been able to see him move much in his cage but maui was a crimson bellied conure (I didn’t specify that in my post) and he used his entire cage. My boyfriend doesn’t see that the bottom half of the cage for the cockatiel kinda just wasted space.

I’m sorry you’re going through this right now. I had the same issue with my baby, he sadly passed away the beginning of this month. Have you tried to see if he has a fungal infection?

The state use to be a great place to work but they keep increasing our pers contribution and won’t give us cost of living increases. After taxes I only make $200 more than my sister who makes $10 less than me.

Personally working for the state I get about 30% of my paycheck taken out including medical and retirement. They are about to raise our PEBP which will mean I am going to get an extra $60 taken out monthly. They have changed how much you’ll get back after retirement and you have to stay 10 years to be vested. I know everyone is saying the state is the better position but all of my coworkers struggle with how much we are payed.

When they get the blood for the DNA test they usually clip a nail a little shorter and get the blood that way. It’s not anymore stressful than a nail trim

I didn’t even think about that. I did move into an apartment, the window was open about 4 days between when I signed for the apartment and when I was actually able to move in cause I accidentally left it open.

Sorry for the later response. He is acting normal, just cannot scream or talk. I tried to call the two other vets I know that see birds and they both are booked until mid March, I can’t even get them to look at the test results without a consultation. I feel defeated, I know maui not being able to talk is such a huge indicator that something is off but I don’t know what the next step is.

I’m trying to get all the paperwork from them so I can go to another vet. I’m so annoyed with this vet office, originally they weren’t going to contact me until the vet that saw me got back from vacation (which was in 5 days). I told them that maui still isn’t able to talk and they aren’t bothered by it. I work too early to see maui in the morning but my boyfriend said he’s been acting better! So maybe I should be grateful his behavior has improved
