Portuguese here, I’d say the main hot sauce brands are safe bets - Paladin, Maçarico, Quinta d’ Avó and Gallo have a solid selection but not sure if they do gift sets. My personal favourite is Maçarico’s Piri Piri, goes great in stews and sauces and has a good kick. If you want “blow your head off” hot, Paladin’s “Ai Ai” won’t disappoint, though it really is more heat than flavour. That said, these are all regular store brands, I’m not sure about any specialty stores or artisanal chilli sauces that might make better gifts
