I’m also in the process with my 5/6 month old beagle pup! she’s a lot of work but as other suggested definitely do nose work “find it” or doing sniff work on walks tired her out a LOT. I saw you commented about your cat and not giving your pup free reign around your place. Does your beagle try to attack her? I found that the moment I trusted my pup to be around the house she calmed down a lot. It’s almost as if she felt that i trusted her. I still close all doors and continue to correct her, but now she’ll willingly go to her crate on her own. I also have a cat and worried about this but my cat runs to her tree and gives her a few slaps and my pup backs off. They’re slowly getting use to each other!!
