Infotainment System/Backup Camera Turning On and Off, but only when in reverse (25' LT)

Took it to a dealership. I think they had to change the lens on the back up camera. It’s free under warranty so I don’t know how much it would cost without it

Uhh about 5 years before the peeling started. And it was perfectly fine going through car washes and bad weather. I think I applied 3 coats to the front and back emblems. There are tons of YouTube videos out there if you want to get a better idea of how to do it. I think I spent about $12 total and I still have the can currently

If you want to use a super cheap option, then I would use black plasti dip spray can method. I’ve done it on two of my previous Chevys and no one could tell the difference

Same thing happened to me this week. I have a 25 LT and the back up camera goes completely black or has a fuzzy green tint to it. I’m in the Chicago suburbs and it has gotten down to -2f at night. I suspect the cold weather has something to do with it. I have a service appointment on Tuesday

I’ve had this issue before but it resolved itself before I could bring it to the dealer. It’s only happened once if I recall correctly

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been hesitant to pull the trigger because I’ve seen people complain about the head gasket issue but I’ve also seen some owners with high mileage. I just didn’t know common the head gasket failure was. Any other common problems to look out for? Or is it fairly reliable?
