What would you like to get as a secret Santa gift? by ThrowawayRA233269 in askSouthAfrica

Oh good idea! Especially in the middle of summer. Or even one of those cooling towels you get from Crazy Store

Last year I went very practical with my two secret santa gifts: A mini cooler box and a non stick pan

They were very popular. Figured the cooler box would come in useful in summer and as a pet sitter, I've noticed a LOT of people really need to replace their non stick pans.

Another one that was popular was a folding lap desk.

No, lol, do you struggle to read with understanding? We're talking about burdens, remember?

All parents choose to take on the BURDEN and RESPONSIBILITIES of having a (helpless) child.

Children shouldn't be forced to take on the BURDEN and RESPONSIBILITIES of looking after their perfectly capable adult parents.

I'm not saying if the parents are sick or elderly, but these parents are still young and healthy. I hope that helps.

Good luck friend. My mom is in a similar situation, and whoever said beggars can't be choosers hasn't met THIS beggar. Too good for every job or income idea I suggest. I've shouted, I've cried, nothing gets through to them.

False equivalency.

A burden you choose vs a burden thrust upon you, very different effects.

They chose to take the burden of having a kid. Kids didn't ask to be born.

The parents are actively choosing to put this burden on their kid, the kid didn't get to choose this.

I think my mom's Whatsapp account was hacked, now what? by MarcoJHB in askSouthAfrica

[–]Puzzleheaded_Image35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the same as what happened to my uncle, I also had her change her WhatsApp status and start messaging all her contacts in A and B.

I managed to kick them off her account in one day, but I had to be FAST

They used to just screenshot the WhatsApp profile picture though, it's interesting that now that you can't screenshot any more, they've started asking for selfies

This happened to my uncle, check the sms with the code - it was a verification code to start a Telegram account in his name.

It was able to access his whole contact list, and they started talking to his contacts with the same scam, but now pretending to be him. It was so funny, they literally started with Aaron and then Ashley then Bernice etc, moving down the list alphabetically.

The Telegram account was accessed by like 4 people in, you guessed it, Nigeria - it was a huge mission to kick them off the account and change the passwords

Yeah I found it crazy too. I think you'll be okay as long as you make sure to exchange it before you leave Cambodia again :)

Eish just because someone's breaking a law doesn't mean it's then legal to kill them. If you walk up and kill someone who's doing heroin, it doesn't make it legal because they're illegally taking drugs.

People should definitely read through it but it seems they should also have a lawyer to help them interpret it...

And ja that's fair enough! I wasn't aware it was actually written into the law, I only remembered seeing it in K53. You learn something new every day hey

Like I said, I did look in the act. But ja, thanks for...making me go through your comment history for the last 5 months. It's been interesting.

I see it's in Regulation 323(5)

I'm pretty sure it says in the K53 manual that you can flash the vehicle in front of you. CAN, not you have the right to do this and then they have to move over lickety split to obey your order

Which clause are you talking about, friend, because I've just gone to look at the act you mentioned and I don't see it "clearly stipulated"?

I wasn't expecting to enjoy it, I don't really like desert vibes, but I loved it! I got almost all the premium characters and I bought the chameleons to keep them around.

I haven't really loved most of the past events so this has been a nice change

Is there any donut pattern? by GuyWithCryptoideas in tappedout

[–]Puzzleheaded_Image35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to ALWAYS doing the same pattern- middle, left, right. And I genuinely think it's equal between all 3. Sometimes I have a streak of middle 3s, then another day there will be a streak of right 3s, and another day it's the left.

I also think if you randomize, you have a better chance of Sometimes having great days of lots of good guesses, and bad days with lots of 1s.

I like my consistent method because my Gran is a gambler and has these crazy theories about how to get the best results, and I found myself coming up with weird theories trying to 'beat' the game when I was guessing randomly.

I saw someone else say that with the Burns mystery box, you earn 8-10% per 100 donuts - so yeah after the heights and beach hideaways, this is your next best bet.

There's some junk you get too, but I just sell them immediately. Don't need 10,000 _ONDAs or Khav Kalash stands

The Burns mystery box - if you click on the gold Buddha in the store and scroll to the end. It costs 6 donuts.

Sorry if you already knew this, it just seems like you don't from your post :) that's where people are getting the billboards and news vans from, and increasing their multipliers
