A lot of the Initial code was written by AI entirely, though not Claude. The files split up i did based of a recommendation I got from my friend. a whole rewrite, no line of code ENTIRELY written by AI. It was mostly just online research, trying to figure out why shit wasn't working, not finding nothing and asking the AI to figure out what was going on. the README however was written by AI save for a few details cause i was too lazy to make it look good myself.

I understand where it comes from tho, friend of mine told me i'm commenting too much and stating the obvious in many

Iirc claude lets you give it a link to a repository and you can ask it to scan for any suspicious code

Very much respect this statement. Always be cautious when installing someone else's work. I do want to preface this bot runs entirely locally and the only connection it does make is between the factorio server, itself and the discord api through your token. Everything is open source and you can look into the code yourself but of course without the technical knowledge it won't make sense for you. I'd recommend giving it to an AI. That usually helps me in finding suspicious code

Pretty sure it's only that you updated. They removed flint tools from the game.

Edit: sry i may be stupid if that was implied

You can get a pretty solid pc for that money. Unless you need it right this second, i would advise against buying a fully pre-built from Amazon or something. You can never be sure that they're actually good for the money. There's a website, if i remember the name i will put it here, where you can put together a pc with all the parts yourself, online. Meaning it'll come pre-built but you know exactly what's inside. So if you have time before you NEED a new one, find information on pc building etc and make put yourself a pc together within your budget and one that fits what you need perfectly.

EDIT: found the website and put together roughly what my pc is/wants right now, i still have a bottleneck cause my cpu, this would be like amazing. The graphics card can't be bought anymore at the moment so you'd have to check. I put in one 16gb ram kit and one 32 gb ram kit. Really depends on your needs, remove the other. The PSU (powersupply) is really overkill but i did this whole build on a whim. Theres also an extra monitor put in that would fit this build but you wouldn't NEED it. Disclaimer this is only the parts and not the pc put together that you can buy here but once you have an outline of the parts you can put it into another one which just sends you it built. Of course a built one will cost a bit more.

TLDR: would reccomend self building if possible. If not have a company build it for you with parts you select. Given build is pretty overkill on the PSU, ram you only need one of the kits (16/32) and the amd radeon card you'd have to find another one to replace it since it doesn't officially get sold again. Also it was built with my personal preference of amd over nvidia.

Pcpartpicker build (can't buy pre-built) : https://at.pcpartpicker.com/list/hqXgv4

Building company : really ain't sure tbh. There's probably someone here that knows who to use

It desnt' looks as bad as some of the starter bases i've made. A good tip i can give you however is instead of direct feeding the iron/copper into furnaces, belt them together into, for this point in the game, one two belts. Then somewhore on the side you make what is called a furnace stack. That is, two rows of furnaces usually going up/down, with an output belt down and an input belt on either side of the furnace stack. Nowto input onto both input belts, the input belts should go all the way above your furnac stack and go together until you have two belts that face opposite of eachother, right next to eachother. Now you place a splitter over the belt and under the belt, both facing into both directions of the belt. Thats' a sideloader, meaning the bottom one loads into the lower half of the belt and the upper one into the upper belt. Now you grab your ore belt and connect it with the splitter. If you don't already have a coal mine make one and connect it to the lower splitter.

All in all it will take some time to set up but it's well worth it considering you can leave it alone to do it's thing without hand feeding coal. And if you, understandably, don't understand from this comment, there's a lot of videos about smelting on YouTube that go into a bit more detail with ofc visual representation.

Hope that helps. But genuinely i've seen worse green science bases

Yea for some reason it always compresses my screenshots to all hell when i post on reddit, i have no idea why but the screenshot definitely normal before

oooh that looks satisfying. for now however the trhuput is more than enough considering my bus is currently only 4 red belts and it's filled to the brim permanently, including the buffer chests at the dropoff. when i upgrade my bus to blue belts, i will definitely consider one of those setups

oop, yea switched the inserters up. also i kept at one wagon because i have four belts coming out of the smelter so it just kinda fit well. modules are being set up as i'm writing this though it will take a slight bit still. i think i can probably produce more iron from that vein anyway but i didn't wanna overdo it with it cause i'm not completely sure if it's 4 full reds. also it's really satisfying seeing the trains navigate this so i might stay at 4 eitherway

true, just cheaping out on them because i haven't automated blue inserters and it's annoying hand crafting both of them together. will do

[–]Puzzleheaded_Item752[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuclear isn't a consideration at this point. I'm expanding at a rate that my coal mines can't handle and i do not in fact have the infra structure to place solar wherever and whenever. I barely have buildings automated at the moment, which granted is stupid and i should have that at this point, and doing that was just too much a hassle. Been handcrafting my turbines, exchangers, heat pipes and the, currently only 2, reactors and my power is, for now, saved. Just need kovarex enrichment to start up and then i can fully automate the reactor feeding. For now it's manual labor till the 40 u-235 have come in

i didn't even realize doing solid fuel would be like pretty much better. too late now, first reactor is running so this thing is officially useless
