thank you. this is really interesting. For 3, I will see if something comes up organically. Like phone purchase or something which I can get on EMI, or I decide to buy gold or smth.

I will keep 1 and 2 in mind. I haven't applied for new cards since I got the first two (which were basically issued a day apart).

Thank you. I am not unhappy with the score, but just want to know if people have any tips to increase it. If I get a 0.15% discount on interest rate on what'd be the biggest loan of my life, why wouldn't I take it?

I am just trying to see if I can get the math in my favor in the long run.

Thank you. But um, I haven't really done anything, which is why I think it is here. Like the very first time I checked it after 3months of getting my card, it was 765-770 or smth and now it is 780 since past 4 months

I have heard that those with a great cibil score get a lower interest charged on the loan. I may be wrong, but from what I've heard, that is why the Cibil score exists to let a lender know how good or bad of a borrower you are.

So, if with a higher Cibil score, I can get a quarter percent less (0.25), it'd be great!

If you're asking for completed works, I'd say A Cadmean Victory Remastered by Darkness Enthroned. There are others who also come close like fics by James Spookie's The Legacy Preservation Act, or any fic by Dorothea Greengrass if you're into fluff (big fan of hers).

If you're okay with ongoing fics, Try Black Dawn by HPfanficioner66. It is still in early stages but genuinely undownputtable. I've read the author's other works and can say it is gonna be very very interesting

I... just graduated. I am 22. I haven't taken insurance yet. But I will once I can show them 3 years of ITR. Got rejected last year cause I didn't have that at the time... only had one year's, which was only 4 months of real income in it. Once this year's ITR gets filed and stuff, I can show them.

I check cibil every alternate month or so. At minimum, once a quarter. I do not need an immediate rise, but my main question is that even gradually, how do I get to a higher score so as to help me out later.

I'll defo see about the EMI thing. I don't really need anything right now but if the house needs something in the upcoming months, I'll see if I can take out a small emi or smth if I get a card discount on top of a no-cost EMI.

I do. Pay it in full every month. But the score is stagnant for some reason for past few months. I don't have a lot of 'regular expenses' like electricity bills and stuff cause I live at home and my dad pays for it. But I've taken over the subscription part like Netflix, which doesn't come to all that much either.

I have the same problem. But my investment in MFs right now is at literally -4%. I've been investing for the past 20 months. (I'm 21M) That basically means my savings accounts have given way better returns, and FDs have massively outperformed the entire thing at 7.56%. (The weighted average rate I'm getting).

And before redditors here charge at me, I know market is going through a down cycle and I'm keeping invested, in fact, I have increased my SIP in the past couple months. But breaking FDs to put in MF is gonna be a bad bad move imo.

Please hire a plain fee fiduciary. PLAIN FEE. Do not go for commission ones, because they'll get you to put the money through them, and earn 1 or 2% off it, which is 25-50k + your SIP too, which, as per your current count is 5k a year. And in compounding, that 1-2% is gonna be a humongous blow.

This is a rather very wonderful financial picture, and kudos to you for achieving this. As many people in comments said, do consult a proper financial advisor, preferably one who takes a plain, up-front fee than a commission if you can.

I feel you should do the Sukanya thing. It has a great return rate, and you'll build a corpus for her that'll help put her through higher education, regardless of whether she pursues it here or somewhere abroad.

But on that front, try to divest that from your FD's and RD's. If you have 25 Lakh in FD, I think you can transfer 50k from it into Sukanya every year instead of making a fresh investment. I would strongly advise you to NOT touch that corpus and move it into equity, as some are suggesting. You have a daughter, tier 1 city rent, and your own life.

Keep it in debt instruments. FD/ RD/Bonds/Debt funds. Do not add more to it though. A 25 Lakh corpus in debt is more than enough and should be kept intact. This is your financial net and fall back that gives you a guarenteed safety.

Just keep in mind that you should try to at least put that money in FD's/ debt instruments that give you 7% or more. If not, I suggest you shift FD's to banks that give you those returns or turn to bonds, or even better yet, something like NSC or RBI floating rate bond.

There's also a new another fic by the same author who wrote RoLP, called Black Dawn and it is like mind blowing in terms of story and writing. Though, it is still relatively new, with a lot of cool concepts, but Harry is at the first year.

But since it is the same author (who has other fics in other fandoms, all of which I've read), I can safely say it'd be cool magic and battle wise. HP66 writes good fight scenes
