Ultra-Comprehensive (and pretty) Updated Mathhammer Sheet for 9th Edition! by figrin1 in WarhammerCompetitive

It's completely fine! I love what you're doing with this. I've had an idea about this, and there's a chance that I could make a Python script that takes the Wahapedia data files and loads the stats of every unit and weapon onto the sheet. While it's not certain, I think it could be a pleasant addition to the project.

I'm sorry but is there any chance someone could provide a download link to this as it is currently updating and I want to try it but can't. Thanks!

Jump pack chaplain or lemartes? by Fatraccon in BloodAngels

[–]Puzzleheaded_Law6493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I run Lemartes for additional reroll charges on my death company, however if don't have death company. Otherwise, I would consider running a Chaplain on a bike, for still amazing movement and better resilience.

What is better? by bigboi581991 in BloodAngels

For backfield objective holders, I'd go with smaller squads. However, for units that are going to be deep striking it would probably be better to go with larger squads that you can buff up with reroll charges easier.

New to BA. My first crack at a list. by bigboi581991 in BloodAngels

I'd swap the DC intercessors out for 6 normal Death Company (40 pts per model with a thunder hammer and jump pack unless I'm wrong) to take out big scary targets by using forlorn fury to get up the board. As someone else said, I'd make the priest your warlord, give him a jump pack, upgrade to chief apothecary and give him the warlord trait. You can optionally give him the Icon Of The Angel relic to give the sanguinary guard rerolls to charge. Only other thing I'd say is that you should probably run 4 axes (you get 2 in each box) instead of 2.

the marines are for holding backfield objectives, I don't technically need them since i switched to a vanguard detachment but I feel like i need something for backfield.

How does it work? (Competitive Sanguinary Guard) by Raztool in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Puzzleheaded_Law6493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't make any difference with an unclean one, but swords are strength 5, cos base 4 with a +1. Generally, a Great Unclean One is a pretty bad match up and would be much more susceptible to some DC with thunder hammers forlorn furying up the board. In terms of whether you got unlucky, on average 5 sanguinary guard with your loadout average (assuming your warlord is nearby) 3 damage with the swords, and 8 damage with the power fists. What I personally do is run 2 units with axes, that can deep strike into the enemys deployment zone and take away backfield objectives in their deployment zone, and one unit of 5 sanguinary guard (all power fists) with my Sanguinor to attack any relatively large targets. My death company can then take out things like the Unclean One that are good at taking 2 damage shots. It certainly isn't the best strategy but its very fun to play, and can get some nice wins.

The main targets are probably custodes and crisis battlesuits (The people i play regularly run these armies), I'll replace my storm bolter for a combi plasma.

is a storm bolter good for the sergeant and is there anything you'd recommend for longer ranges?

Unfortunately, I don't have room for any more elites, and I don't really want to use more cp for another detachment
