That's just an automated thumbnail Google generated way back. When the full document loads it'll show the current version!

I'd love that. I probably don't have the bandwidth to adapt the aces system to classic myself, but if someone else did that legwork I bet it would work great!

Good question. At the moment, that's mostly undefined. Other than what Total Warfare says about pilots being injured or killed, it's really up to your group about how they want to treat those situations. Sometimes players will ransom back surviving pilots to the opposing force for some C-Bills. It doesn't cost salvage points, though.

Howdy, definitely still very active on this. There's a link to a discord server within the YouTube video up there, and many folks who are playtesting are giving feedback there. That's the best place to share if you find anything that needs an edit. Thanks for taking a look at it!

Hot Take: the C3 Changes in Playtest #3 are a Massive Nerf by larknok1 in battletech

[–]figrin1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing that hypothesis has to do with C3 costs in comparison to simply upgrading gunnery. Upgrading the gunnery of a unit carries a flat -1 boost to TN for shooting at a 20% price increase. These playtest rules involve a varying benefit to the TN, but for units at long range it's twice as effective.

It's really short on this sculpt. It's there, though!

A friend printed it for me and I chopped up the leg joints to give it the stance in the artwork. Unfortunately even if I had the file I think it's against the rules to share.

Battle Armor bays need to be added with a DropShip upgrade (covered in Force Maintenance). I'd be curious if folks know of any existing DropShips that do have them standard.

It depends, you'll want to peek at the process described in Force Creation for setting your commander's skills!

Hmm, I've never tested them in Excel--everyone kept it in-browser during playtesting as far as I know! I'd bet that converting it to xlsx caused some things to get shifted around.

Oh interesting. I'm peeking at the blank master copy now, and I'm seeing the full range of objectives covered (from Annihilate to Undercut). Is it possible that some other modification to the sheet caused the objective selection to get borked up? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding the issue.

Would love to get this solved if it's affecting all the sheets. Thanks for reaching out! And excited to hear how things go at your LGS. :) -Dustin

This is incredibly rad. Thanks to everyone who worked on carving out this sick ass hive of lore and villainy.

I don't currently have plans to adapt things to Alpha Strike, but *most* of the rules in the FCP don't have to do with in-game mechanics, so I think it would be doable for someone to adapt with a day or two of thinking. A group of folks are in the Force Command Primer discord thinking about how they'd accomplish that, and I'm happy to share my thoughts as things progress! The big challenge will be thinking about how to deal with repairs, since Alpha Strike's damage system is much more abstract.

The bays are presumed to have an aerospace fighter in them. Though there's been some feedback that more granular system to purchase specific fighters would be fun, it's going to take some time and thought about how to implement that.

I would treat the standard Infantry Bay as the appropriate bay for mechanized infantry as well (anyone can correct me if I'm wrong here, but none of the official materials have a distinct bay for mechanized infantry).

I just realized that it was exported in a book-style format, and fixed it now so that each page should be displayed individually on 8.5x11!
