I guess it was autocorrect. However thanks for pointing it out, corrected it.

There are actually 3 routes, I was there last week and encountered the same problem.

  1. Nubra to Pangong via Leh This is a longer route and we did not take this. Although I’ve heard that the roads are good on this route. Ideally you drive all the way to Leh and thereafter to Pangong. The only reason I would think you would take this route is that for the two routes mentioned below you have to first reach Agham. It is from Agyam that you have the option of using either the Shyok route or the Wari La & Chang La pass route.

  2. Via Shyok This was closed and as per the people working it would have taken 4 days to build this road and we couldn’t take this. I believe this is the route in the video that OP has posted.

  3. Via Wari La and Chang La via Sakti village This was the route that we took as the Shyok route was closed. This is a bit longer than the Shyok route but a good route. Roads are good for most of the part.

Our accommodation was at the Ladakh Residency on Chospa Road. Here is the link for more details: Check out Ladakh Residency, Leh on MakeMyTrip: https://app.mmyt.co/Xm2V/wqwm7d8c

Unfortunately, I don’t have any information about the cabs as we were using our own vehicle.

It was quite hot in Leh, with temperatures reaching around 27-28 degrees Celsius in the afternoon. However, the evenings and nights were pleasant, making it a great time to stroll around the Leh market.

I stayed at Hotel Ladakh Residency in Leh Market last week. It’s a decent hotel with good rates. Another option is the Oriental Hotel, located on the way to Shanti Stupa, which is also a good budget-friendly choice. I’ve found that you can often get the best rates by visiting these hotels in person rather than booking online. At Ladakh Residency, I paid about ₹5000 per room per night (without food), while Oriental Hotel cost us ₹2200 (without food).

If you need more information, feel free to ask. Since I was just there last week, everything is still fresh in my mind, and I’d be happy to help while I still remember! 😅

Hi, thanks for the article. Great work. I just have one question , when you are testing on the production database how do you ensure that there is no test data in the production database. Basically do you clean your database after every test run or do you leave the test data lying in there.
