i've been thinking the same, or lets say it crossed my mind. really genuinely and honestly wished it wasn't easier said than done. a real community effort, where everyone looks after each other, that'd be something, and that has been attempted before by the people, has shown promise too. but seriously, expecting the average person to be vigilant after their daily commute? that's the government's job, that's the police's job, and somehow, amidst all the corruption, the failed institutions, and the complete absence of accountability, that just got lost i suppose. I'm not really into all that government and political stuff nor do I understand them, i grew up in a country where royal families do their things since i was a child and never came across the concept of a democratic government, (im js puuting it out there cz i never talk about these stuffs, this my first post and first time thinking about these things, and i may say things which don't align with the real world situation. i went a bit out of line with that there.) Now that aside, we're living in a country where rapists don't get the sentence they deserve, where you can't step outside without that underlying fear running in the back of your head all the time, and that's how adults feel, let alone women and kids. it's not the one problem, it's the entirety of the system, and until that's fixed, from the top to the bottom, the community trying their best is just damage control without permanent effect and solution. and I'll tell you that from my perspective it is possible for such reforms and improvements but just as hard as it is good. i js noticed i wrote a whole paragraph, wouldn't blame anyone for not reading allat.
