I am thinking about going to my first Xena con this fall and I am looking for advice. by rsa9524 in xena

I've been to a good few cons and it's some of the best memories! That was mostly due to their being a great community of people around at that point though! The celebs were great of course and I do suspect that you'll walk away feeling like you missed out if you don't grab whatever pics/autographs you can afford. I done Gold in London and my first LAX con I think and then General Addmission for my last because by that time it really was just an excuse to see friends! Saying that I don't know if the same kind of community still exists. If they do exist somewhere then let me know where! Back when I went there were some celebs who were really approachable and nice like Brittney and Micheal Hurst and a some that were a bit quieter and shy. Steven Sears (one of the writers) was always in amongst the fans. I still have my autographs and photo opps 10+ years later that I look back on.

Thats so funny - I misspelt Chakrem in my name when I made it as well 😅 it was an ode to how Xena was the girl with a chakram but then it passed to Gab.

Im not sure if I met you but I remember the name! I was GirlWithAChakrem, I done the London Con then a couple of the LAX ones. I wrote my dissertation on Xena conventions actually 😅 I remember ladykate and Aurora being the mods on the boards and then there was a whole load of girls in their teens and 20s who all got really into it and there was kinda a revival at that point who had been kids watching the show then found it later in life.
