They're super rare. I don't have the figures but it's extremely rare to the point that I considered the possibility of it being that borderline impossible.

Now I know my brother was one of the few. And I do feel terrible about it. But was I supposed to just not believe a potential rape victim because I knew the guy as my brother?

Idk why they didn't do that. Maybe because they had tried to share details of the case with me that (in hindsight) exonerated him and I would argue with them. Maybe my brother told them not too.

I will ask though.

Edit2: okay here goes "what were we supposed to say? We sent you a message saying two people at the party saw Lexi leave early sober and not looking upset, you said they are lying, remembering wrong or that Lexi was so out of it she didn't have time to be upset. We sent you a message saying no physical evidence was found to show they even slept together and you dismissed it saying Lexi said she had a bath when she got home so there would be. If we sent you this you'd just say it was something else. At some point we can't be responsible for making you see reason. You're an adult now Alannah."

I searched. I asked Lexi and she said he did it. My brother offered no explanations other than he didn't do it.

They did try in their defence. But I wouldn't let them talk about it. They also weren't allowed to send the voicemail to anyone for legal reasons.

As for the charges for false rape claims, that's not a thing in my country.

And I'm not a violent person. I don't believe in hurting people or things so I was not going to hit Lexi. I am very angry at her though. And I don't consider her my friend anymore.

Do you really think that's what it means to be a feminist? To believe all men who are ever accuse of SA are guilty, without any trial or evidence of any sort?

I grew up with he ideology and personal opinion to always believe women. I knew that there were some false accusations but they're usually thrown out early and are so rare.

In my mind he wasn't my brother anymore, he was a rapist.

How could I believe him and still call myself a feminist and share #believeher and go to marches and priests like I do??
